I don't remember much of the train ride. No one talked to me and I didn't talk to anyone. All I could think about was Alfie. I was so relieved to find out that he was okay. For all I knew, he could have been curled up in some alley way amid strangers. Knowing that he was with Marcus made me feel ten times better.
After the cab I been riding in dropped me off at Marcus' I ran up to the steps, kncoking impatiently on the door, needing to be with him. The second that Marcus opened the door I ran to Alfie and wrapped my small frame around him. I could tell that he was shocked, but I was glad that he returned the hug, but then he pulled back.
After explaining to Alfie what had happened with Caspar and showing him that I had found the ring, I felt much better. We had finally both told each other that we loved each other. No more keeping secrets from my best friend, we were now officially in a relationship and nothing felt better in the whole world.
________
I leaned my head on Alfie's shoulder as Marcus talked to us about something, I wasn't reallt listening. My eyes had just started to get heavy and I could feel sleep upon me when my phone buzzed jolting me awake. Alfie laughed slightly at my reaction. I glanced down at my phone and saw a message from Louise. I was about to slide it open to see what it was when my phone started to ring.
Louise sure did want to get a hold of me. I answered the phone quickly, knowing that it must be really urgent. "Hello," I said softly.
"Chummy, Darcy is really sick. She's in the hospital. Do you think you could come down? Matt is still in Costa Rica. Bring Alfie and Marcus if you have to. Please Chummy."
I didn't have time to answer before she hung up. "What was that all about?" Alfie asked sweetly.
"Darcy's in the hospital, Louise wants me to come down to Northampton." I sighed, I really did want to be there for my Chummy, but I didn't want to get on another train. I thought about it though and decided that it was for the good and I could just stay with her for support. Matt wouldn't be home until next week and she was probably so worried.
"Alf, will you come with me?" I asked, I had forgotten that Marcus was still there. "Oh, sorry, Marcus you can come as well."
"I'd rather not, sorry, send my best wishes, but I'm filiming with Jim tomorrow and I can't reschedule. Tell Louise I wish I could make it." Then he left the room to leave me and Alfie alone.
"Of course I'll come Zo, let me pack my bag. You call a cab and get your stuff together." Then Alfie left the room and I was alone. I pulled out the ring box again and smiled at how beautiful the ring was. I removed it carefully from its velvet home and slid it onto my left pointer finger. It looked beautiful. I would only ever take it off to sleep.
After a few minutes Alfie had returned with Marcus. We both hugged him and bid him farewell. "Thank you for taking care of Alfred," I said sweetly. Alfie looked at me menacingly, I just grinned back. Right as we were about to leave I heard Marcus' voice.
"I am so glad you guys are together now," he said with a cheeky grin. I just smiled at him.
Alfie said, "Ya thanks man," he was blushing. He wrapped his arm around my waist and I slid mine into the crook of his arm. Before I knew it we were both on a train together to North Ampton. That was when a viewer saw us. I don't really know what they did, but the next thing I knew, my phone was blowing up with Twitter messages. And they were all about Zalfie.
Hope you guys like it so far! The updates will probably slow a bit until school gets out, but I will try to update at least once every three days! Once school's out though, I will update more frequently! ^_^ xxx
