I helped Zoe carry all of her luggage off of the train, she sure needed a lot for just one weekend. We then set about the task of finding Louise. It wasn't that hard though. After we had stepped into the lobby of the train station, she just sort of appeared there for us. "Hello!" I said with a cheeky grin. Zoe ran up and hugged her chummy.

When I told Zoe that she looked good tonight, that was definitely not a lie, she looked amazing. Her hair was freshly obre-ed, her makeup was superb, and she just had this lovely glow about her. I mean she looked amazing every night, but today she just looked ten times better than usual.

It seemed as if I was the packmule, because I ended up carrying Zoe and Louise's stuff out of the station. Zoe called a cab and we all sat on the curb to wait for it. "Are you guys excited for the party?" I asked, but they didn't answer. They were sitting off, alone, a bit away from me, whispering.

I was about to call out and ask them what they were on about when the taxi arrived. I was still confused though. Why hadn't they included me in their convorsation? Whatever, it didn't matter know, we were about to be at the party and then it must definitely would be of zero importance.

When we were in the cab and Zoe and Louise were catching up, I pulled my phone out to stop the boredom that had suddenly come apon me. I noticed that I had gotten three texts. One was from Jack, one from Marcus, and one from Casper.

I opened them each reading and responding to them. I openeded Jack's last. Both Casper's and Marcus' were just asking me if I was going to the party and I responded with a simple 'yes' and 'see you there.' But Jack's was different. His was a longer more personal message and I reread it through many times.

"Hey mate, so you know if Zoe is coming to the party tonight? Because I uhh, I want to ask her out on a date. And I mean, you know her the best, so what do you think I should do? Any tips?" It went on longer, but I didn't even bother to read the rest. Of course he would do this. he had probably only thrown this party for her. There was no specific reason attached to it. He just wanted to impress Zoe.

Just then the cab stopped and the girls got out. I lugged their bags out of the trunk and paid the driver. "Are you two ready?" I asked, still very gloomy about Jack's message and didn't have my usual gusto about me. The girls didn't even seem to notice. They just tittered about and never really answered my question, then they just went back to whispering.

Everyone was being very odd tonight. And nothing seemed to be going right. This was supposed to be my day with Zoe and both Louise and Jack had stolen that from me. This probably wasn't even going to make a very good vlog. It would be rubbish and I had a feeling that the party was going to be too.

____________

We were some of the first people to get to the party, just Jack and Finn and Marcus were there. But Casper, Louis, Dan, Phil, Jim, and Tanya were coming. Along with a few other people I didn't know. I also heard that Sam was coming, but he rarely makes an effort to attend to this things. He just doesn't really care so there was no knowing if he would show up.

I sat down on the couch and watched as Jack flirted with Zoe and Louise tittered about them. How childish, I thought, even though that had been what I was planning to do during the entire party. Just then I felt a weight beside me on the couch. Some one was sitting next to me. I looked over to my right and saw that it was Marcus. "Al' right mate?" I asked with a sigh.

Immeadiately I could tell that Marcus knew something was wrong. "Come with me," he said pulling me by the arm to a corner where no one could hear us. "What's up? You are usually the life of the party. Something's wrong isn't it?"

I paused before answering. "Well, first of all, I am never the life of the party. That's always... Jack." I spat out the name like it was poison in my mouth. "And, there is nothing wrong." I just stared at Marcus and then suddenly felt very emotional. I started to cry, but turned away, trying to hide it.

"Mate what is it?" Marcus asked again. He kept shaking my arm and persisting, making me give in and tell him.

"It's Zoe. I think I love her and Jack says he's going to ask her out tonight. I just can't bear it if he does. I love her so much Marcus."

Marcus didn't know what to say there. He just smiled with a knowing grin. Although Alfie had never realy confessed his feelings for Zoe he had always known that they were there. "Aww Alf, I think that is so sweet," he said in a crooning voice. "And I will make sure that Jack does no take your girl out from under your feet." He said it with such finality that I couldn't help but believe him. I loved having Marcus as a friend, he always knew what to say and how to make me feel better.

After haven talked to Marcus for a little bit longer, I stood up and walked over to Jim to talk. Marcus drifted away from me to go talk to Finn or someone. The party was starting to get better and I was looking up. Maybe tonight would be the night that I asked Zoe out. Just then I heard someone clearing their throat. Someone was making an announcement.

I looked to the center of the room and saw Finn standing there. Everyone else had sort of formed a semi-circle around him. "I just wanted to say something," he said loudly clearing his throat again. Everyone except me laughed. Finn was probably just as bad as his brother. It pained me to have these thoughts as I had always thought of the twins as my friends, but now the tables had turned.

"I just heard this cute story and thought it would be fun to share. Now this has nothing to do with anyone we know, but still." he winked at the part and smiled at me which as odd. I still had no idea what he was talking about. "I overheard a convorsation today about this boy who was very good friends with this girl. And apparently this boy has always liked this girl, and I think they should definitely get together. Now, I only met these people in passing, but I think it would be..." at this point Alfie could not take anymore. Everyone was looking at him, and he knew what Finn was up to.

Marcus had obviously betrayed his trust and told Finn all about their convorsation, and to make his brother happy, Finn had told the whole party about it. That way it would make me look bad so that Zoe would want Jack. I stood up, walked over to Finn, and punched him the face. I didn't know what made me do, but the last thing I remember is Finn falling to the ground, before I blacked out. Jack having kicked me in the gut.
