Can This Be True? { A Zalfie Fanfic }

I woke up a bit disconbobulated, and confused. Why was I on the couch, and more importantly where was Zoe? I started to freak, but calmed myself down. There was nothing to freak out about. Zoe was perfectly capable of safely going wherever she wanted whenever she wanted. 

I smiled when I saw that she had made me breakfast. I gobbled down the toast and drank the hot chocolate in three big gulps. Everything was a little bit cold though, that meant that Zoe had been out for a while. I pulled out my phone and texted her, asking where she was. 

I wondered what I was going to do today. Probably nothing, there was nothing to do. I might hang out with Caspar. If he wasn't too busy with the twins. It seemed like he was always too busy to hang out with me. Hopefully today would be different. 

After getting dressed and ready I sat down on the couch and called Caspar.

"Caspar, you alright mate?" I asked, smiling. 

"Ya I'm fine, and you?" 

"I'm great, just wondering if you wanted to hang out today?" I said with a small ray of hope inside of me. It had been ages since I last saw him and it would be fun to chat for a while. 

"Sorry man, I can't. I'm going to this thing with Jack and Finn today. Sorry, maybe another time?" 

I tried to keep the disappointment out of my voice as I spoke. "Ya, sure thing man."

"Cool, talk to you later!" I was about to say 'bye' as well, but he had already hung up. I sighed, well a day at home might not be that bad. It would just be a chill day. That's what it would be. A nice, soothing, relaxing day. 

I scrolled through my twitter feed, whilst resting my feet on the table. I could already tell that today was going to be amazing. That's when I saw a tweet from Jim Chapman. 

'In London today, just finished filming. Bored in this incredibly beautiful city.' 

I didn't hesitate to call him.

Luckily, Jim had excepted my request to hang out. We had decided to go shopping. Very feminine of us, yes, but shopping was fun. We had both decided to get presents for our girls. I was walking down the pavement when I saw Jim and waved. He waved back at me and I could tell that he was smiling. 

I loved Jim, he was such an amazing friend. He always seemed to make everything so much better. Maybe he could make me feel better about the whole miscarriage thing. I bet he could make me feel better. 

"Hey!" I said with a grin. 

"Helloooo!" Jim said, pretending to be Marcus Butler. 

I laughed, then he laughed, we were both laughing.

Jim and I had a good day. We bought a lot of stuff too. He helped me to get my mind off of things and I had actually had fun. For the first time in a while I had had fun. Nothing to worry me, nothing to keep me on edge. Just a fun day out with my mate. 

I had even bought a gift for Zoe to make her feel better about everything that had happened. I hadn't seen Zoe all day and I missed her. I pulled out my phone and sent her a quick text before continuing to walk home. Jim had left me a few blocks back to go back to the hotel. 

I walked up the stairs to my flat slowly, smiling at an old couple that I passed. I pulled out my keys and wiggled them around in the sticky lock, pulling open the heavy door. I was greeted by Zoe and to my surprise, Louise. 

Louise looked happy, and Zoe seemed happy as well. They both had large grins on their faces. Louise was wearing a mint coloured dress and Zoe was wearing a white summer one. 

"Alfie, will you marry me?" Zoe asked with a giggle. 

"O-of course," I said taken aback by the question that I had asked only a day before. I was very confused as to what was happening. 

"Let's go then. let's go get married right now," Zoe said smiling still. She grabbed my hand and led me out of the flat down the stairs. She looked as if she was flying, and I was just stumbling behind her. Louise trailed behind us both as we made our way to the courthouse.
