Can This Be True? { A Zalfie Fanfic }

                                                                               *One Month Later*

Me and Zoe had now been in a relationship for one month and everything was going perfect. Ever since that one night in the hospital we had just been so much closer and honost with each other and I was loving it. The only downside of our relationship was that in public we had to pretend that we were still friends and couldn't show any signs of affection in public. 

Of course, all of our friends knew that we were a couple but we still didn't want to tell the viewers. Well I wouldn't mind letting the secret out, but Zoe most definitely didn't want to say. I finally coerced her into letting me make a video about it before Playlist Live. I think the reason she did this was so that once we were in Florida we could actually be a public couple. 

I had planned out exactly how this video was going to go, and I knew it was going to go perfect. Zoe was coming in from Bath to help film and then we were both headed to Playlist together with all of our friends, and Jack and Finn. I had just finished setting up my tripod when I heard Zoe's familiar knock on the door. I dropped my phone on my bed and rushed to the front room. 

I opened the door hastily, smiling at Zoe's petite figure. She was wearing her disco pants and a loose black top that fit her perfectly. Her hair was done in a fishtail braid down the side and she looked beautiful. "You look great Zo," I said. I could tell that she was nervous to make this video. Zoe was also very sensitive about what others thought of her, and I didn't blame her one bit. 

I ushered her to my room where the camera was set up and plopped down on my bed. She sat down next to me quietly. "Are you ready?" I asked with a grin. I had already set up my computer to play the song "Feel the Love" by Hoodie Allen. This was the song that we had done our intro to back when we filmed our first video together. 

I started to dance and sing, Zoe joining along. I was so glad that she was okay with this. "What's up guys," I said opening my hands in my classic introduction to the camera. 

"Hello!" Zoe chimed in. 

"I am here with Zoe of Zoella on Youtube, and we have something very important to tell you guys," I paused and looked at Zoe waiting for her to speak. 

"Me and Alfie are going out!" she said cheerfully, grabbing my arm and resting her head on my chest. 

"That's right," I said slowly. "Me and Zoe are finally a couple and we've been dating since around Valentine's. Sorry we hadn't told you untl now, I guess we just forgot," I said this with a grin. 

Me and Zoe talked a bit more to the camera, laughing a ton. I knew that there would be great bloopers for this video. That also meant a lot of editing and extra footage though. I didn't mind one bit, as long as the viewers were happy. 

After we had finished filming, Zoe removed herself from my lap, where she had managed to end up during filming. She walked out of my room and into the kitchen. She returned with a bag of ginger biscuits. I smiled and pulled her close to me, stealing one of her biscuits. 

"Hey!" she said in protest, laughing. 

"I'm glad we did that," I said lowering the tone a bit. I really was glad though and I thought I should thank her. I felt like all of my viewers were my friends and it wouldn't be right to keep a secret from your friends would it? 

I pulled my laptop over to my bed as well and started to upload the footage onto my computer. Estimated time, one hour. "Great," I groaned. I wanted to get the video uploaded by the next day so that meant staying up super late and editing. 

"I'll stay with you," Zoe said sweetly. "Just a mo," she walked over to my dresser and pulled out one of my shirts meandering into the bathroom. I had no idea what she was on about and sifted through some tweets, waiting for all of the footage import. Luckily, the estimated time went down to seven minutes which was much more manageable. 

After about four minutes Zoe came out of the bathroom, her hair was up, makeup off, and she was wearing my shirt. I smiled at her as she sat next to me. It would be a long night of editing, but at least I had my girl with me.

I yawned, it was about 3 am in the morning and I had finally finished editing. Me and Zoe had stayed up most of the night together recounting funny childhood stories and eating popcorn. Zoe was now asleep, her head resting in my lap. I stroked her hair and smiled. I would upload the video later in the day and everything would be absolutely perfect. Nothing could go wrong now, could it?
