"Rain! Rain, wake up!"

Emily was shaking me awake. The dream I was having ended before it was over, and I kind of wanted to go back to sleep to see what happened. But everyone knows that dreams do not resume if you doze off.

So I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and ran a hand through my long brown hair, to make sure it wasn't tangled.

"We're here!" Cami chirped, clapping her hands excitedly.

I looked out the window to see trees, a few buildings, and a big sign that read Lake Tishomingo. That's where the camp was located.

The bus driver let us off, but it took awhile for me and Emily to exit because we were close to the back. Once we had all filed off the bus, a man who looked to be in his late twenties began to speak through a megaphone.

"Hey, guys, welcome to Lake Tishomingo. Are you ready for Encounter Camp 2015?!"

Everyone cheered and shouted, "Yeah!"

"Okay, I know you're all excited to get to dinner, but first we have to assign you to your dorms."

A few people groaned, and I stifled a laugh.

The man went on to call out names. "Bethany, Sadie, Jo, and Courtney...you'll be in room one." He called out about 25 more names before he got to my group. "Cami, Jordyn, Rain, and Emily...you'll be in room ten."

Cami and Jordyn squealed and hugged each other. I followed them and Emily up to the room.

It was small, with two bunk beds and a tiny bathroom that had a shower, a toilet, and a sink with just a bar of soap and a hand towel sitting on it. The cracked tile floor was white and smudged with dirt. I guess no one bothered to clean up last time.

"I call top bunk!" Cami exclaimed, running to one of the beds.

Jordyn followed her, setting her bags down on the bottom bunk.

"Do you want top or bottom?" Emily asked me.

"Um...bottom." I hated top bunks, and this one was even worse because there was no ladder. Did they just expect you to magically climb to the top?

For the next thirty minutes, we put the sheets on our beds and unpacked. Then it was time for dinner. Good; I was starving!
