It was pizza day at camp, and I was grateful. It tasted good after being out in the sun. Even if it was hot outside, the warm pizza somehow made it better.

I was getting more used to the cafeteria by now, and it wasn't even scary looking for a place to sit. My friends were already saving a seat for me. Emily, Cami, Jordyn, and Blake surrounded a table, waiting for me to join. I sat down in the empty chair and took a bite of pizza. Mmm!

"Did you have fun at the game?" Cami asked me.

"Yeah," I lied. It had been terrifying and horrible, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. No use bringing down her good mood.

"That's good!"

"What's been your favorite part of camp so far?" Blake wanted to know.

I thought hard before answering his question. So far, I had met my roommates and the team. That had been okay. I had been to two sessions, both of which bored me to death. Going to mealtime was sometimes a bit scary, but the food was good. And I couldn't forget kickball. That had been the absolute worst!

"I've enjoyed getting to know you guys," I answered at last.

"Aww," Jordyn and Cami gushed.

I smiled at them.

When lunch was over, we had free time so I pulled Blake aside. It was time to get some answers!
