Chapter 2

School went by so fucking slow.

I can't wait to go home. I was speed waking to my locker so nobody would speak to me. Then a kid knocked my books out of my hands and pushed me in a set of lockers.

I sighed and crouched down to pick up my stuff. I really hate people.

"You okay?" I heard someone say. I looked up and saw Cameron crouched in front of me.

"I'm fine" I lied.

I picked up my books and began to walk away. I don't know why he is talking to me I mean he so popular.

"So, how was your day?" Cameron asked walking next to me.

"Good" I lied again.

"You know you don't have to lie to me" he said and stepped in front of me. I stood there silent. As I did I got a bunch of dirty looks from girls walking by.

"Look I got to go" I said and walked passed him. He grabbed my wrist and turned me around.

"I can look into your eyes and tell your not okay" Cameron said and began to lean in. I backed a quickly as possible.

"Congrats" I snapped and walked out to my brothers car waiting for me. I got in and threw bag in the back seat.

"You okay?" My brother asked.

"Please just take me home" I said and laid my head against the car door window. He started the car and pulled out.

Once we got home I grabbed my bag and sped walk to the door. I opened it and saw my mom and dad kissing.

"Get a room" my brother said. They parted and rolled their eyes. I did the same and walked up to my room and slammed the door and locked it.

I walked to my closet and grabbed some swear pants and a black tank top. I threw my hair in a messy bun and sat at my desk.

I laid my head on my desk and sighed. Then my phone buzzed inside my book bag. I groaned and got up. It was a number I did know.

Unknown number- hey it's Cameron
Me- oh hi
Cameron- what's up?
Me- nothing and how do you have my number?
Cameron- same and Bethany gave it to me
Me- cool
Me- look i gtg bye

Before he could answer I threw my phone on my stitch pillow pet. I don't know why I am being such a bitch to Cameron. I mean he's hot,sweet,caring, and has been my crush since like 8th grade.

Wait what?! No way I just said that! Holy shit! Breathe Alex breathe. I walked over my bag and grabbed my inhaler. I breathed it in and began to breathe normally.

I put it on my night stand and sat on my bed. As I began to get comfortable u slowly began to drift off to sleep.

*1 hour later*
"Hey. Sis wake up" Justin said as he shook me.

"What?" I groaned and stretched.

"Moms friends Gina is coming over and bringing her boyfriend and son" he said and kissed the top of my head. "So get dressed" he added then left.

I dragged myself out of my bed and to the closet. I grabbed a pain white shirt, black jeans, and black booties. I walked to the bathroom and pulled my hair out of my messy bun and pulled it into a messy side braid.

I walked downstairs to Gina already here with her so called boyfriend and her son who looks pretty hot.

"Here is my daughter Alex" my mother said and pulled down the stairs. I faked a smile and shook her hand.

"Hi I'm Gian! This is my boyfriend Tim and my son Cameron" she said and turned her son away from his phone.

No fucking way.

"Alex hey" Cameron said and smiled brightly. I faked a smile back and walked over to the kitchen.

"Cam go help Alex" Gina said.

As I picked up a knife to cut the carrots cam came and smiled.

"Need help?" He asked.

"Not really" I said coldly.

I cut the rest of the carrots and threw them in the salad.

"Do you hate me?" He asked.

"No. I um.." I paused.

"It's the opposite actually" I said.

"What does that mean?" He asked.

"It means I like you Cameron!" I yelled and whispered at the same time.

"But you would never like me it's a waste of time" I said and threw the knife in the sink.

"Everything in my life is a waste of time Cameron" I said and pick up the salad bowl.

"If I were you I would get out of my life before I push you away" I said letting a tear slip. I walked away and set the salad down and sat next to Justin and my mom.

I can't believe I said all that to Cam.
