"She's just been acting very strange and being distant."
"Well have you spoken to her?" My mother asked
"Everyday but nothing seems to change, she just gives me one word answers, and I don't know what to do anymore." I replied
"Do you recall saying anything or doing anything to her that would result in her to become distant?"
"No, not that I remember." I muttered
"Has she been doing anything else?"
"Well, last week she's been vomiting her guts out, and she's been having these weird cravings." I said twisting my lips up in disgust, remembering when she had tuna, icecream, and peanut butter in one bowl.
She gasps , "...Matthew the answer is right there."
"What are you talking about."
"Oh lord, where have I gone wrong with you child. The answer is right in front of your eyes but instead you choose to be clueless and have a brain fart right at this moment." She chuckles in astonishment
"Mom you're confusing me, I think I'm just gonna go."
"Okay sweetie." I kissed her cheek and walked to my car.

"Baby!" I yelled throughout the house.
I walked further in, hearing regurgitating sounds coming from upstairs. I jogged up the stairs and noticed her figure bent over the toilet. I quickly pulled her hair up and rubbed her back.
When she was done I lightly picked her up setting her down on the sink. I washed her face and tied her hair up in a ponytail.
I then picked her up again, and lightly laid her down on the bed, tucking her in. I bent down looking at her, her eyes were dull and bags surrounding the surface. I noticed she was getting a bit bigger, especially her hips and butt, but I just figured it was the amount of food she's been eating.
"Baby?" I whispered softly
"Mhm?" She hummed almost inaudibly
"What's wrong? Why aren't you speaking to me?" She just stared at me without saying a word
"Did I do something wrong?" She continued but instead her eyes swelled up with unshed tears, seconds later releasing but before they glided down her cheeks I wiped them off, holding her cheeks whiled she leaned into my touch.
"I'm sorry?" I looked at her confused
"Sorry about what?" She just turned around facing the other way without muttering another word.
I sighed heavily. My heart ached everytime she ignored me, not only that but it hurt me to the core everytime she wouldn't tell me those 3 words I've been longing to hear come out of her lips. I walked to the bathroom cleaning up the mess. After I was done I disposed the dirty rags in the garbage. I then tied up the bag and was about to lift it out the can when something caught my eye.
I cautiously picked it up, unsure of what it was until I saw the sign that would change my life forever in bold print.
It's short but I finally reached 1k
