One week later

Elena's POV

Stefan and I were sat on the sofa, with Isabella, talking about everything that's happened lately.
"So, how are you feeling?" Stefan asked, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. The smile on his face was enough to make any girl melt.
"I'm scared about having another baby. But at the same time, I'm excited because we've been given this chance," I smiled. What I had said brought a smile on his face too, a very cute smile might I add. I laid my head on his shoulder and he lightly kissed the top of my head. Just sitting with Stefan, in the comfort of his embrace, was enough to make my day better. I honestly had no idea what I would do if I didn't have Stefan in my life. I knew I couldn't live without him.
"We're all going to be okay," he whispered as he gently traced the tips of his fingers along my side.
We continued to sit inside our embrace until my phone rang. Without looking at the caller ID, I accepted the call and put the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" I answered, with my head still rested on Stefan's shoulder.
"Elena, Hi..." Bonnie spoke in a nervous tone.
"Hey, Bonnie. Is everything okay?" I asked, a little concerned.
"Yeah, I just need to tell you something important," she said. Driven by worry, I lifted my head up from Stefan's shoulder and looked at him with a concerned expression. He returned the expression with a little confusion.
"What would that be?" I asked.
"Well...you know when we went back home a week ago?" She asked, worry still present in her voice.
"Yeah," I said suspiciously. By this time I was sat up, intrigued by what Bonnie had to tell me. Stefan kissed my cheek, got up with Isabella, and started to walk into the kitchen, probably to get her some lunch. I smiled to myself as his lips left my skin.
"Okay, so when we were there, I met up with Jeremy and we got to talking and..." She started to explain before pausing.
"Yeah..." I said, almost knowing what she was about to say.
"We sort of kissed, and he sort of asked me to be his girlfriend, and I sort of said 'yes.' I was going to tell you sooner but-," she said before I cut her off.
"Bonnie, that's great! I'm happy for you two, honestly. I know you've both always liked each other so I think this is good for you two," I consoled her. She let out a sigh of relief before answering.
"Thank you, Elena. It means a lot. I'm just glad he asked me because I've never been happier," she said. What she said made my smile widen.
"I'm happy to hear it. Are you with him now? I heard he was coming up here today but I haven't been able to see him yet," I explained.
"Yeah, he's here. He said he'd see you later on," she replied as I heard Caroline in the background.
"Okay, sounds good. I just have one question though." I was probably making her worry now.
"What?" She asked, nervously.
"Why did you call me to tell me? How come you didn't talk to me face-to-face?" I asked.
"I was scared about how you would react. You're my best friend and I know you'd be supportive, you always have been. But I couldn't help but worry about your reaction. I now know not to worry because no matter what I have to say, you'll be supportive," she agreed to herself.
"You got that right," I replied.
Caroline continued to ramble in the background. "Oh, also Caroline asked me to see if you and Stefan want to join us for a triple date tonight?"
"I'm not sure if that's a good idea, but I'll talk to Stefan and get back to you in a little while," I said, knowing that she would make me agree right this second. Although, I was probably just being overly paranoid by not thinking it was a good idea to go.
"Elena, you guys deserve a break. I mean you guys are parents, you're pregnant and at school, and you both have a lot going on. You two need a night out, with friends, to enjoy yourselves, okay?" She said, sounding like a replica of Caroline.
"Okay, fine but we're not going to be able to find a babysitter for Isabella in time," I stated.
"Doesn't matter. She can come with us. We'll all help look after her for the night." She stated quickly and simply.
"Okay, if you guys are sure then, we'll be happy to join you," I smiled.
"Great! I'll text you the details later," she said, sounding very cheery and happy.
"Okay then. I'll see you tonight," I replied, sounding just as cheery and happy.
"Bye!" She said before we both hung up. I stood up and walked into the kitchen to find Isabella sat on Stefan's lap, eating carrot sticks.
"How would you like to go on a date tonight?" I smiled whilst walking closer to the precious sight of my family.
"I'd love to," he smiled, obviously not knowing the strings that were attached.
"It's not just with me, it's a triple date with everyone," I said, seeing his face scrunch in confusion.
"Who's the other couple? Obviously there's you and me. There's Klaus and Caroline but who's the other?" He asked, still looking confused. Stefan's confused face was honestly the cutest and hottest confused face ever.
"The other couple is my brother and maid of honour." I watched as his facial expression turned to surprise.
"Really? Bonnie and Jeremy finally got together? They've liked each other for so long," he said. I nodded my head before leaning against the counter side.
"Bonnie told me on the phone that they got together when we all went home last week," I replied. The surprise on his face disappeared.
"Wait, how are we going to find a babysitter before tonight?" He asked.
"We're not. We're taking Isabella with us because Bonnie insisted that they would all help look after her." I explained before he nodded his head in understanding.
"I'm guessing they really want us to go," he said with the cutest smile on his face.
"I guess so," I simply replied, with a smile on my face.
