32- Bonus Chapter: Honeymoon

A few days after the wedding

Elena's POV

Dear Diary,
We did it! We finally got married and I'm honestly so happy that we were able to do this! I'm a Salvatore now and married to the one and only Stefan Salvatore. It's so surreal to say that I'm Stefan's wife and that Stefan's my husband...

I moved the pen away from the page with a smile on my face. I was just so amazingly happy right now and I had no words to describe my joy of finally being a married women. I couldn't even write down how happy I am on paper, there were no words.
"Flight 223 departure is at Gate A"
We both heard the flight attendant say through the speakers. I closed and put my diary in my bag before standing up and meeting Stefan's lips with a small kiss. He offered his hand and I gladly took it before we started walking to our gate. This was my first time on a plane so I was both excited and nervous at the same time. Stefan could tell I was nervous since my hand still had a tight grip on his, even after we had boarded the plane and sat down.
It turned out that plane rides weren't that scary because the next thing I knew we were already there. Although saying that, Stefan said I was practically sleeping the entire time.
After collecting our bags, we took a taxi to our hotel, and throughout the drive we got to see the lights of the city. I was excited to see where we were staying because I had absolutely no idea. Stefan planned the honeymoon as a surprise for me, and I only found out that we were going to Venice yesterday. It didn't take very long to get there, which I was glad about since the anticipation was slowly killing me.
Once we arrived at the beautiful hotel, I sat down whilst Stefan checked us into the hotel. I firstly looked at Stefan before my eyes diverted down to my wedding ring, I smiled at the stunning band of gold.
"You ready, honey?" I heard and looked up to see his beautiful, smiling face. I nodded my head before taking his hand and walking with him up to our room.
When I saw the room for the first time, my jaw opened in surprise and amazement.
"Oh my god, this room is beautiful, Stefan," I said turning around to face him.
"But not nearly as beautiful as you," he said, approaching me. I blushed a little at his comment before kissing his lips- in appreciation of everything he's done for us.
"Thank you, for everything. Our family wouldn't be where we are now if it wasn't for you," I said.
"Our family wouldn't be here physically if it wasn't for you," he stated. I've always loved his modesty, he's never liked to praise himself.
"Or you! I couldn't have made them on my own, we've always said that it was a team effort." He laughed at me recalling past conversations that we've had after Isabella was born.
"We make a great team," he said with a smile.
"We make beautiful babies," I said back. He nodded his head softly in agreement, not that anyone could disagree. Isabella and Bethany were the cutest children I have ever seen.
"I can't agree more," he said before sealing our lips with a kiss.

A few hours later

Whilst Stefan's in the shower, I took the time to call my mum as I laid on the bed. She was looking after the kids with Caroline and Bonnie along with my dad.
"Hello?" My mum answered down the phone.
"Hey mum!" I said excitedly, happy with everything that's happened over the past couple of days.
"Elena? Let me put you on speaker!" She said before I heard the patter of Bethany and Isabella's feet.
"Mummy!" I heard them both say which made me smile.
"Hey girlies! Are you having fun?" I asked, with a smile on my face.
"Yeah, but miss mummy and daddy." She made my heart melt by saying that.
"We miss you too sweetie, but we'll be back before you know it." I said, trying to console them both, even though I missed them too.
"How's it going so far? Where's Stefan?" Caroline asked me, sounding eager to find out the details.
I smiled before replying. "It's good, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Stefan's in the shower," I stated.
"Where did you guys go?" My mum asked, I've only just realised that they had no clue as to where we were, since Stefan surprised me with the location.
"We're in Venice," I said and heard squeals on the other side of the phone.
