I heard a loud smash and suddenly what little light I had found disappeared. I convulsed in pain but ignored the giant gash down my left side.
A sound of mechanical whirring started up and then the door hit the floor with a heavy, satisfying thud. Freedom.
((Dipper's POV))
The door in the other room opened with a smash and I left the silence to investigate.
A wolf-like creature was huddled in the far corner of the room whining. My senses blared with danger but I still approached regardless.
"Y-you okay?"
It looked up and edged into the dim light. A very familiar face stared back at me.
