~~Ford~~
I stood in front of the mirror inspecting my face closely. My teeth were sharp fangs and my face itself had extended into a small muzzle, my skin coated in a thin layer of downy, auburn fur.
I felt the new extra muscles shift under my skin. A pair of large feathered wings unfolded on my back and I saw how the gradient fell through auburn, red and cerulean.
I had a long tail peeking out of the back of the cloak I was wearing.
I was like some sort of sphinx or something.
"Whoa. What the heck happened t'you?"
I knew that voice.
"Stanley?"
I turned round and stared at my brother.
"I could say the same about you Stanley." I said mockingly.
Stan walked into the room and stared at me. He was heavily distorted with stony, statuesque features. His eyes were yellow with the same kindnesd of before. Stanley appeared to be some form of gargoyle.
"Whatta you s'posed to be anyways?" He asked.
"I don't know...a sphinx or a griffin?" I mentioned quizzically.
"Whatever poindexter! Say, where're the kids?" He exclaimed.
I stopped. The kids...
They were gone. Both of them. And Corduroy too.
The weird gopher dude sludged in and oozed over to Stanley.
"Hey Mr. Pines!"
"Soos? Jeez sixer what the heck you do to everyone?!"
"Who said I did it?" I said guiltily.
"Anyways, where're the kids?!" Stan repeated, growling in frustration. Soos oozed back a bit.
"I-I..." There was no use in lying. "I don't know Stanley. They disappeared with that Corduroy kid..."
"YOU HOT BELGIAN WAFFLE!" Stan roared demonically.
He paused.
"Wait a second...we're alone...I can swear for real! YOU SON OF A-"
I clapped my paw over his mouth and gestured at Soos who lifted his slimy arm up and waved.
"We should discuss this sensibly outside like mature adults." I said quietly.
"Agreed." Stan nodded.
"Can you excuse us for a minute please Mr. Ramirez?" I asked.
"Sure dude." He smiled.
I marched Stan out and he suddenly slammed me against the wall.
"Listen Ford! You're gonna find those kids or you'll find your pelt as a display item on my wall!" He growled viciously.
He was serious.
"Well, I'd best be off then!" I declared openly.
"Where'd y'think you're going?!" Stanley shrieked.
I stood in the open window frame.
"Going to find my niece and nephew of course!" I grinned, pushing my glasses up my snout.
I crouched and sprang out the window, opening my new wings and flapping them strongly.
Flight was amazing.
And I was going to find those kids and fix everything.
