" Lexi !" I heard my mom call. " Lets go I'm starving. I don't want to miss out on the good ones!"

" Mom we're not going!" I said. " Lexi and I are not like you we don't like people blood!" I said dramaticly

"Thanks Dreams!" My sister Lexi added.

If you didn't catch on yet. My family are vampires. We live in the human world. That's only because my mother is to stubborn to live in our other world. She rather live here than with our kind and others. I'm Dreamantha Smithery. I am 1700 years old about to graduate from Watery Central High School. My sister Lexi is 1600. We are inseparable we do everything together.

" So mom Lexi and I are going to go into the forest and get us something. As for you, you are going to the blood bank to get something. If we smell one wiff of a human on your scent there will be consequences!" I said jokingly

"Yeah yeah heard it all before gosh why was I the one with the vegetarian children. Ill be back " My mom giggled as she left. Don't get us wrong our mom was always drinking from the blood bank. She never like the thought of killing humans for nutrition. She was the one who trained us on eating animals. She wanted us to be raised that way.

"Bye mom!" My sister and I said in unison.

My sister and I just finished drinking a mountain lion and we decided to hang out with a couple of our friends from our home world. So we went to the part of the forest where the the door to the other whelm was held. It would be guarded by two werewolves. We haven't been back since we moved here over 500 years ago. So it may need some getting use to. I hope the wolves are nice. We were close enough to smell the wolf scent.

" Hey Wolves we can smell you! You smell like cinnamon and dirt. Show yourselves" My sister yelled into the forest. I whacked her arm and gave her ''be nice " look. She gave me an apologetic smirk.

" Someone needs a little lesson of respect for others" One of the males appeared. He was in human form. Man he was hot! God I wish I was apart of their kind. He was tall, with tan skin , dark black hair and blue eyes. The second guy appeared and then our eyes met. I was so lost in his gray eyes. Its like looking straight into his eyes made me melt in his presence.

" Ahh man you okay? Mason? Hello?" The first guy was trying to get the gray eyed boys attention. The guy then looked where his eyes were gazing at.
" My god. Man you found your mate. Umm fate must be weird cause she is a vampire?"

He walked towards me and that made me very nervous. Wait why is this making me nervous? Why did the first guy say mate? What's a mate? All these question were running through my head but nothing was coming out. I couldn't take my eyes off of his eyes! I was paralyzed as he still kept walking towards me. I'm guessing his name was Mason since the werewolf said his name.
"Dream are you ok?" I heard my sister trying to get my attention but I couldn't speak. Mason finally reached in front of me and put is hand on my elbow. His touch made my senses go crazy. My whole body was tingling from his single touch. What is going on with me!
"I'm Mason, Obviously your name is Dream? If I heard your companion correctly?" Mason spoke while stroking my arm up and down. All I could do was nod.
"I'm not sure what you did to my sister but yeah her name is Dreamantha Smithery! And I'm Alexis Smithery but everyone calls me Lexi. We live here with our mom." Lexi explained. At least she could talk I don't know what's going on. "Can someone explain to me why my sister is acting weird?" I heard Lexi ask.

"Yes, I can." The first werewolf answered. "My dear, A mate is like your other half. Your Soul mate. The other person who completes you. They were made for you and only you by the moon goddess. That's how it is for us werewolves. When you and your mate first meet. You feel tingles at first but once you look into their eyes. Everything else around you freezes. It will only be you and that person. Floating on a cloud together. Love at first sight. Once that happens. It hurts for them to be apart for so long." He explained.
"Who are you now?" Lexi asked with a hint of sassy ness in her voice.
"Sorry my name is Alex. Very close to your name feisty one. In our culture a werewolf will only have one true love that he is destined to have for eternity. The weird part is I never heard of a werewolf and Vampire pair. It's normal between human and werewolf or werewolf and werewolf but never a vampire. This a new one for the books. We definitely need to get these two out of this trance," Alex then clapped his hands and pulled Mason away from me. I shook out of my trance and immediately felt dizzy. I looked for a grassy area and sat down.
"So I'm Masons destiny lover?" I asked trying to gather all the information I could hear. "I don't even know him!"
"It's okay Dream it's new for me too! Honestly I'm glad I found my mate! Now all these girls can stop throwing themselves at me. It's been getting out of hand." Mason laughed and high fives Alex. " We can take this slow. Get to know each other".
I stood up and nodded my head. I looked at my watch and realized that mom was gonna be home soon. " Shoot Lexi! Moms gonna be home soon! We better get going." I grabbed Lexis hand and went to turn around to make our way back home. I felt the tingling feeling again flowing through my body starting on my left shoulder. I turned to see Mason looking at me with sad eyes. "What's wrong? Is everything ok Mason? Why do you look hurt?"
"Do you have to go? You just got here? I mean when will I see you again?!" Mason asked with hurt in his voice,". He made like we weren't gonna see each other again.
"Meet us here again tonight. The both of you. Better safe than sorry." I acknowledged. I grabbed Lexi and both ran vampire speed home. We made it just in time to change and wash up before mom pulled her car up the drive way.
"I'm home. How was your girls day out hunting in the forest?" Our mom asked. Lexi and I just looked at each other and both stayed "Beat day Ever!".
