"Mom? What else happened? Obviously you went home right? That's where you met dad? Where Devon now? Can we meet him!" I demanded to know.
"I'm fine just trying tell you without getting emotional. Girls. What I'm telling you is something I was waiting for years to tell you! This was not a secret I could keep hidden long. I don't want you to hate me. Dreamantha. My sweet girls. Alexis" Mom said. "You are fraternal twins. I only told you both that you were years apart because I didn't want people to know the truth of what happened in Hawaii. About who and what you guys truly are!" I was so confused! I always knew Alexis and I were close but shoot twins! That's awesome! "Dream hunny are you ok?" I heard my mother ask. I snapped out of my train of thought.
"Yes mom I'm ok can you finish your story. What happened in Hawaii? What's dads name?" I asked. I had so many questions.
"I will tell you everything I promise. But look at the time. We may need to take a break and rest up and start from where we left off tomorrow" I looked at the time it was almost 3am.
"Mom it's Saturday we don't have school tomorrow. Please come on we don't even need rest! Tell us" Lexi said. I grabbed her hand and smiled and I looked at our mom and insisted she tell us. "I'll make us a cups of coffee as well as dessert" she added.
"Girls I just want you to be alert at all times. Everything I do is to protect the both of you from any harm. I don't want you to live a life in the dark" mom said. She seemed really worried. Like whatever she had to tell us was gonna bite us in the butt later. Mom continued with her story. Lexi and I just stared at her so intently the whole time. Everything she was telling us was so interesting. Who knew my mom was such a bad ass. Also someone so loving. Mom definitely had to go through a lot of shit before she made sure that we was safe. What really got our attention though was what mom said next. "I texted your father. He should be meeting with you on Monday. I think it's time you meet and have your training". Lexi and I looked at each other in shock.
"Wait. Wait what a second!" I said shocking. "Our dad is alive! And he never once came to meet us! Over the thousand of birthdays we've had? Who does that!" I could feel my body getting hot. Something was happening that never happened before. But I ignored it. "First you tell us we're twins. Not just siblings. Now you tell us our dad is still alive. After all this time telling us he was died!" I couldn't calm down. I was too angry at this point. How could they hide this from me. From us. This was something we should of been told from the start!
"Dreamantha calm down. Please. This was a hard decision to keep you both safe. It's not safe for you to get angry right now. Please." My mom pleaded.
"Why is her eyes changing color mom? It's red! Not her normal bluish purple" I heard Lexi say. I tried calming down. This was something new. I use to get angry but not like this. I was beyond pissed.
"Mom explain what the hell was that!" I yelled. I finally was getting calm. I drank my coffee and sat down. Taking deep breaths and thinking happy thoughts. Bunnies. Kittens. Puppies. "Please".
"Let me finish my story and get you caught up" Mom said calmly.
