"Sir?" A medic asks. "Sir, when did this happen?"
Another two medics pick up the bed they had layed Jacob on and put him into the NCEMS.
"We gotta go. Climb in."

"He's in a coma, Sir. We need to know what happened. He has had no external injuries but looks to have the same internal injuries as car accidents."
"Wha- what do you mean? Is he okay? Is it permanent?"
"I don't know. We can't be sure. He's got a broken rib, and we're lucky he doesn't have a collapsed lung, but we really need to know what happened."
"I don't know what happened, otherwise I would tell you. Okay? We've been through a lot lately. You can't let him die. He's my whole world. You just can't let him die." Years were pouring out of Luke's eyes. His phone went off and he picked it up.

Hey I'm on my way to your house.
Will you still be there in about ten minutes?
Hey, I'm here. Where are you?
I'm at the hospital. Jacob's in a coma. I can't go to work today. You get a free day.
1 new message from Ashton.
What do you mean coma? What happened? Since when? What is going on?
This morning. I woke up and went to check on him. If you want, you can come see him.
I'm on my way. I'm so sorry. I'll be there soon.
Okay. No problem.
Ashton arrived twenty minutes later, tears gathering in his eyes. "I'm so sorry, Luke. What happened?"
"I woke up and went to check on him. I couldn't sense his breath. I called an ambulance. They said he was in a coma, they were lucky she didn't have a collapsed lung.
"They said they didn't know when he would wake up, if he ever will. I- I just started crying. I said he had to wake up. We've been through too much for him to leave me now.
"I don't want him to leave. He's everything to me. I couldn't control myself. You- that's like your siblings dying either of them. And Harry's only two years old." Luke stopped his blabbering because he was drowning in his own tears.
"Sir?" A nurse with scarlet red hair and grey eyes. "I'm Bella. I'm Jacob's nurse. He's in a stable condition, and he's talking, but its jibber-jabber. And... he's stI'll in a coma."
"Oh, God. I thought you were gonna say he was dead. Oh, God." Luke mutters.
Even Ashton had tears in his eyes. "Will he be okay? Is he gonna wake up?"
"I don't know." Bella pauses. "Okay, I just have to ask. Are you too gay or something?"
