"Are you sure that were going the right way?" I asked as we turned onto an isolated road. We headed back about an hour ago but we still hadn't made it anywhere. We kept going in circles and circles. "Yeah I'm sure." Austin said frustrated. "Admit it dude. Were lost." Danny said from beside me. I nuzzled my head into his neck and closed my eyes. He smelled like fresh beach water and a mixture of cologne. "Were not lost." Austin spat. Ellie grabbed his hand in hers to calm him down. I could feel the heat rising in the car, and it looked like it was about to rain. I sighed. Katy was busy texting away on her phone and Lindsey had fallen asleep the minute we got into the car, when she woke up she was probably expecting to at home or in my bed, instead I figured we would still be here going in more and more circles. I looked up and kissed Danny on the cheek. Danny and Austin were getting along, but they still weren't the best of friends. On the way back to the car from the beach they were arguing over something but I had no idea what. The more they both got frustrated the more I figured they would fight. Great, I thought to myself. I'm hungry, I'm tired, were lost and the last thing I wanted to do was to deal with Danny and Austin. "Uh oh." Austin mumbled as the car halted to a stop. "What is it sweetie?" Ellie asked innocently from beside him. "We just ran out of gas."
"You didn't see the blinking fuel light?" Danny spat. Katy looked towards us and Lindsey's eyes popped open. "What's going on?" She said sitting up in her seat. "Were lost and out of fuel." Danny said, rolling his eyes. "Do you see a gas station around here?" Austin cried back. I pulled out my phone to see that I had no service on my phone. I sighed "No service." I said. I realized Katy wasn't on her phone anymore as she said "I lost mine a couple minutes ago." Lindsey pulled out her phone only to have the same problem. I got out of my seat and headed for the van door. "Where are you going?" Austin asked sternly. "To find service, do you want to get out of here?" I said back. Austin just rolled his eyes and sunk into his car chair. "I'll come with you." Katy volunteered as she hopped out behind me. "Anyone else?" Katy asked before shutting the van door.
About a mile down from where the van was we still didn't get service. "I thought you said you got service back here?" I asked Katy who was waving her phone around in the air to try and catch a signal. "I did!" She cried. Why Austin would turn down that road, I had no clue. It was deserted and no one even had access to it, unless they were stupid enough to drive down it like we were. There was a dirt road with lots of trees surrounding it. "Do you want to keep walking?" She asked, turning towards me. If we were to continue on I'm sure that we would get lost, plus it was already about a mile back to the van and who knew what type of wildlife was out here? "No, let's just head back." I said starting back towards where we came from, and I thought Danny and Austin fighting would be the most of my problems.
When we finally reached the van Danny and Austin were attempting to set up some chairs and umbrellas but were mostly arguing then anything. Ellie and Lindsey had pulled out their towels and were laying on them in the middle of the road, seriously? Were stuck in the middle of some place an hour away from home and they decided to tan? "Guy's enough." I said walking over to Danny and Austin. Katy had gone over to the girls and was telling them to get up and do something to help. "Any service?" Austin asked. I shook my head no. If I were to open my mouth, I would have probably regretted it. "Looks like we're going to be here awhile." Austin added. Danny shot him a glare but I held onto his arm to prevent further confrontation. "What do we have for food?" I asked. Danny went over to the van and pulled out a few of the coolers we had brought. "Mainly snacks." He said, shoving the coolers back into the van. "Great." I said, taking a seat in one of the lawn chairs. "But we have lots of water." He added, clearly seeing how upset I was. I just glared at him, not saying anything. I knew it wasn't his fault but I just couldn't help myself. "Babe, let's go for a walk." He said grabbing my hands and lifting me to my feet. "I just walked 2 miles; I don't want to walk anymore." I said. He smirked. "Then I'll have to carry you." He picked me up in his arms and headed past the van. "We'll be back in a bit." He called over his shoulder as we headed behind some of the bushes.
"Put me down!" I laughed. Danny was tickling me everywhere. I could barely make any noises come out I was laughing so hard. "Are you in a better mood?" He asked, not stopping. All I could hear was the sound of my own laughter. I just nodded my head, it was the only thing I was capable of doing. He stopped tickling me and laid me down on my back, then laid down beside me. As I was catching my breath I felt his soft hands move a couple strands of hair out of my face. I looked over to see his beautiful eyes eyeing me up and down, he had a smirk on his face. I smiled and rolled on top of him. Why is it that all of our walks together ended up like this? I pressed my lips down on his and he gave into my kiss immediately. His hands starting wandering up my body, I couldn't help but smirk. I knew how much he wanted me. I wasn't going to deny that I wanted him just as bad, but I wasn't giving in that easily. He tugged at my shirt and I pulled it off, then leaned down and kissed him again, our bodies in perfect movement. Just as I felt him go to pull his shirt off, I pulled away and stood up grabbing my shirt and throwing it back on. "We should probably get back." I said, heading off the way we came from. I looked back at Danny who was stunned and motionless still lying in the same position. I turned my head back to face the way I was going as I smirked. Looks like the player's getting out played.
