The Moonlight wolf wakes up and finds himself, looking up at a shiny glass bottle hanging over a huge slated rock. He looks upwards, balancing a jump to catch the bottle. He successfully catches it and opens it up then reads:
Dear, Mordecai
You probably wonder who sent you this but; it is not really important right now. I need you to follow these simple directions: first, go to the shore you will find a necklace there, wear it. Next, fly to the Coral Tide Cave, go inside. Finally, go through the bronze gate and wait there. Do not worry your friends will be all right and Kai knows.
From,
AnonymousMordecai follows the steps, with caution. He heads to the direction noted; focusing on every minor detail he passes.
The Moonlight wolf stops at the shore and spots a necklace of some sort lying on the ground. Mordecai picks it up, examining it. It had a face of a black wolf and a silver moon behind its head. Mordecai then slips the necklace over his head. He proceeds flying to the next location, Coral Tide Cave.
Mordecai quietly enters the cave that stood before him. It was filled with the most fascinating lighting that glimmered in the cave due to the colorful carol that sat within it.
He then enters the slightly rusted iron gate and sits there, waiting patiently. Mordecai did not want any sort of unintentional figure lurking around ready to jump out and strike him. He unsheathes his claws."There you are you are young one! Do not fear me for I am alive not dead" a voice that seemed disembodied, replies from the shadows.
"Why, why are you alive?" Mordecai answers the voice in pure confusion.
"I DON'T KNOW WHY ARE YOU ALIVE!?" the voice shouts back in anger.
There is complete awkward silence between them; finally a figure steps out of the shadows. Mordecai tackles them to the ground with his crimson talons, unsheathed.
"Oh, please don't try to kill me! I'm just here to help awaken your special powers and stuff!" They beg while, whimpering. Mordecai rolls his eyes and gets off them, "Fine, you act like you have to beg for mercy so I don't kill you" he pauses then attempts to laugh like a villain, "Mwahaha! I could just throw you into a pit of lava or...something." The dark brown wolf, laughs nervously "Heh...that's nice and all but, can you listen to me real quick?" Mordecai nods then sits down to listen to their words.
"I Ti, Arkoh's loyal apprentice, shall give the honor o-" Ti is then interrupted by a loud growl. Mordecai turns around to see a huge creature with its blood red eyes staring directly at him. Its lengthy spike tail thumps on the ground. He could see the anger boiling in its eyes. "HOW DARE YOU WAKE ME UP!" The beast roars then hurls itself at Ti. Surprisingly, they are tripped by a long slender shadow. Ti looks up in shock as Mordecai trips the gray canine like beast with a... shadowy tail? "Wait did you just use one of your powers?" Ti asks, with confusion and excitement. Mordecai looks back at him, "I don't know...powers?" He replies in confusion. An odd burst of energy surges through his body. Mordcai felt pumped up somehow. Something really off was happening in his body. "Am I going to die or explode?!" He panics outloud. He looks back at Ti, who is too busy covering his face with his paws, freaking out.
Mordecai rolls his eyes then charges towards the gray canine spike beast. He jumps on its back and buries his talons into its and flesh. It screeches in agony, trying to hurl him off. He holds on tight, sinking his teeth into its back. The metallic taste of blood gushes into his mouth. Mordecai gags, spitting it out.
"GET OFF OF ME YOU WHELP!" The beast yowls in anger. They reach a claw behind them, ripping the hybrid off. The new wound was now visible and Mordecai cringes from the sight of it. Geesh...didn't really mean to do that much damage.
Mordecai opens his wings, hovering on the air for a few seconds. He then lands on the ground, rolling away to safety.
Mordecai stops moving and feels something oddly warm build up in his stomach. Then it gets hotter as it travels up his throat. Am I about to puke fire or something? Something starts glowing and hissing in his mouth. A scorching fiery violet flamethrower erupts from his mouth. It hits the gray beast directly in the face, scorching its fur and flesh. They run around, screaming "BY MOLTEN SUPREME, IT BURNS LIKE MOUNT COMBUSTION!"
Mordecai burps up a cloud of smoke and sits there, staring. How my throat not scorched right now is beyond me. His ears perk up and stands up, alert. A new series of sounds reach his ears, other snarls rather. The hybrid turns around, scanning the area. Red eyes peer out of the darkness, three mainly. "Great, here comes company" Mordecai sighs as he watches two other large gray canine beasts stalk out of the darkness. "Uh oh, this doesn't look too good!" Ti panics, shaking with his tail tucking between his legs. His ears flatten as he watches them get closer.
Mordecai glares at beasts, unsheathes his talons, and leaps into battle once more. He jumps into midair, letting another burst of fire out of his mouth. The Razorfang yelps, running around in frenzy as fire engulfs its tail. The purple flames enlarge, covering the beast's body completely. The Razorfang falls to the ground, it's body sizzling and covered in ash from the flamethrower.
The hybrid rams into the other Razorfang, slamming directly into its stomach. He unseathes his claws and creates a perfect claw mark on its muzzle. The black and gray beast yowls and runs for the hills.
Now, the last one was standing there. The canine beast with a scorched face glares, baring its fangs and swinging its tail. Mordecai rushes towards them. They vanish from his sight. He turns around, seeing nothing there. "Where is that freak?" Mordecai mumbles in frustration. Suddenly, the last Razorfang appears right behind him. Ti jolts up in a panic, shouting "MORDECAI, LOOK OUT!" Mordecai quickly turns around and the Razorfang smacks him with its tail. He goes flying and crashes into a nearby stone wall. He growls, struggling to get up. As the Razorfang mocks him, with laughter, he gets up. Something was burning in his stomach again. His eyes start to glow white and a bright light forms inside his mouth. Ti watches closely as more light starts entering into his mouth. Finally, Mordecai puffs his chest out and a beam of light blasts out of his mouth. The beast tries to shield the attack but fails as the bright scorching beam approaches them, "CURSE YOUUUU!" It screeches as the beam incinerates them. They were no more. "Take that!" Mordecai yells back, victoriously. Ti runs over to him in excitement. "Wow, that was an intense battle!" Mordecai nods and starts to walk away. That was possibly the weirdest thing that had happened to him. Why the heck did I do all of that for exactly?
"Hey where are you going?" Ti asks behind him. Mordecai stops and turns around, "Going back to the others. Why?" Ti looks at him and sighs "I'll have nowhere to go" he sighs, with a painful look on his face. Mordecai stares back at the dark brown wolf for a moment then replies "Well I guess you...um...could come with me." Ti's tail starts to wag uncontrollably, "Oh that would just be wonderful, just wonderful!" He yips happily. Mordecai sighs, shaking his head. "Let's just go already, okay" he says and begins to walk away. Ti nods and follows the hybrid. First thing was first, someone owned him a long explanation.***
Arkoh laughs at the sight of his own apprentice's failed understanding to Mordecai's current issue. "He doesn't even know he is a special Moonlight wolf...oh well back to reading." He goes to his huge bookshelf and picks out a book called "Wolgon kingdoms" and walks back to his den. Arkoh begins to read the first chapter of 'The Lightfeather Kingdom Chronicles'.
Arkoh scans the first couple of chapters then puts a bookmark in it. "Well, that's enough somewhat reading for today." He then turns towards the glowing Vision Gem, continuing to watch over Mordecai and his friends.
With time running, his mind raced. "I hope they can get there more quickly because I sense danger and it's traveling their way."
