"Hey guys" Mordecai says loudly to catch their attention. "Oh sorry I didn't see you there, Mordecai. Oh hello, Ti, it's been awhile since we've seen each other, correct?" Kai replies in a polite manner. It seemed to Mordecai that Kai did not really enjoy saying that at all. "Oh, it has and I have so much to tell you about Mordecai's training" Ti excitedly answers back. Training? What training? That was training?! The events that had occurred earlier did not feel like a training session to Mordecai. It was a rather odd experience for him. Mainly a 'I just discovered that I have powers' situation.
Mordecai quietly walks away from them so they could continue their conversation with each other. He reaches the three brothers and they are all snickering at him. "What? What's your problem today?" He asks a bit annoyed by their unusual laughter. They were still laughing at him so, he left.
"They can be such fur clumps sometimes" He murmurs to himself. Kai spots Mordecai walking to the exit of the cave,"Mordecai, where are you going?"
"Huh? Oh, I was getting some fresh air...that's all."
"Oh...well be back soon."
"I will" he answers back, heading out of the cave.
Mordecai then races out of the cave in a flash, without stopping. He leaps and lands near a rock then flies to the Waterfall Forest.
***The wolf hybrid finally arrives to his desired destination. "Wow" he gaspes, looking around in amazement. "I can't believe how pretty the waterfall is this season." The Waterfall Forest is known to have its large waterfalls and long clear flowing rivers. Mordecai suddenly looks down and sees a note attached to one of the trees:
Dear, Mordecai
This is the same person that sent you that other note, please listen to me. Go to the Never Ending Tree Hollow and dig up the X, it will help you to learn more of your powers.
Mordecai flies to the place he is instructed to. He looks down at the ground and sees the 'X' clearly marked into the ground. "Okay...all I have to do is dig this up." He digs his claws into the soft earth and flails dirt everywhere. A scroll appeared and it said "Moonlight dragon form." He quickly reads the rest then sits there, pondering. I still don't have any clue what this Moonlight wolf bussiness is but, okay.
"Alright, I think I need to empty my mind concentrate on what I need to do" Mordecai speaks outloud. Everything went blank in his mind. It was a rather unusually quick session. A spark of light hit him, not painfully but lightly. His body felt light. It was like the hybrid's body was floating."Congratulations, you have learned to control your dragon transformation, it is a gift from your ancestors, use it wisely in battle or solving problems...that is all." A mysterious voice says then quickly fades away.
O-okay that was a little surprising but, I should try it out first. Mordecai body starts to glow in a white light. It takes over his body then fades away. The hybrid stands there with, a new body of black scales. He looks at himself in the water and jumps. He was big...no, massive. It was unusual for him to feel so large.
He turns his long neck and spots two spikes on his tail, in on each side. The dragon also spots a series of spikes running down The back of his neck to tail. Now he felt weird about himself. Spikes seriously?!
Mordecai growls at first then laughs with his new rough deep voice. He points his head up to the sky then shoots out his purple fire. Maybe his other elemental powers were available in this form? He tried a few more moves. Only his electricity breathe was working along with his fire. Mordecai felt frustrated. Why did he have powers if he couldn't use them in a new form?
Mordecai chases his tail for a bit and finally sits down. He transforms back to his normal form and rushes out the forest to tell the others about his new amazing transformation.
The hybrid runs then leaps into the air, taking flight. I was so big! The wind hitting his face never felt so calming and exciting.***
Meanwhile, in Arkoh's den, the wolf was sitting there reading as usual. He knew that Mordecai still had a long way to go and that everyone he meant so far believed in him. They all were depending on him to stop Shadoweye from bringing havoc to the kingdoms. I'll give him awhile with the notes and letters until I ask Ti to tell him about it. For now I will watch and guide him on his journey Arkoh notes to himself as he heads back to his library. He decides to search for a book about the different kinds of wolves in the kingdoms. It was at least a try in calming his mind for now. "Where is he now? I hope he's alright" Arkoh sighs with his mind on the young wolf hybrid.
"He's coming and it won't be a pretty sight. There seems like no way to stop it now..." Arkoh whispers to himself with a sigh.***
"Oh, how interesting to find this special one" Shadoweye sbarangrily, while appearing under a cobblestone bridge. Walking through the tunnel, he begins to pace back and forth. "I thought there would be no heir of Marcai. Oh, how I was wrong!" Shadoweye blurts out in anger. It never occurred to him that his own brother had a son. Always keeping secrets you runt!
Shadoweye looks up at the sky. A deep growl rumbles in the back of his throat. Then he slowly stalks into the darkness. Time to pay this little one a visit he won't forget!
He just knew where Mordecai was headed and it wouldn't be long until he was there. Everything will go according to my plan! He wouldn't know what hit him.
