I despised Leo, he murdered the only person that I ever called a friend. Eric's death plagued my mind through the night. The sound of his skin slicing open, the menacing pounding of his heart as it soon faded to nothingness. His body where was his body? Where did they take him? Was he thrown into the woods for the birds or had his body been place deep in the ground for the worms to feast on his flesh?
I sat up and stared into the darkness.
"Mai" a familiar voice said.
I shook my head.
"Mai, you need to forgive him" the voice said.
"No, no...I can't" I said. I felt a cold sensation touch my cheek. I touch my cold cheek as the icy feeling spread throughout my body.
"I love you, Mai" the voice said.
The voice came closer until it was whispering sweet nothings to me.
It wasn't long until the moon had peaked out from behind the clouds to cast a beam of light onto the figure.
I reach out trying to grasp the person but my fingers didn't catch anything.

In the morning I woke to the sun shining in my window. I got up and got myself dressed only to remember Eric was dead. I soon lost my grip on reality. Leo had to pay for what he had done. I didn't know exactly how I was going to get him back but it was going to be a lasting event he would never forget.
It was going to be slow and painful but my plan had to be well thought out.
I kept my composure and my dignity as I went to the dinning hall for breakfast.
Having to see Leo there across the table made my rag grow and my sorrows more permanent than a battle scar.
Leo attempted to speak to me but I didn't answer nor listen to his babbling. I was through playing the king's mistress I was now a prisoner awaiting my time to strike a revolt. Little did we know that our kingdom was being eaten alive from the inside out.
