Chapter 24:

It's been a few weeks since Harry and I got together and it's been pretty hard at times. All I see are magazines with his face on and other girls; don't get me wrong, I don't control him - I know he has friends that are girls, that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that every form of media is portraying him to be some kind of womaniser, and he's not. I should know.

Normally I ignore the constant pictures and rumours but as I was walking to get a coffee this morning, one particular headline caught my eye:

"Harry Styles seen leaving woman's house in early hours of the morning... Walk of shame we think!"

I scoffed as I looked at the paper. That was the day Harry went over to Lou Teasedale's house to babysit Lux. What a ridiculous rumour, they really do annoy me! I turned to see the magazine next to it and felt my heart sink:

"Harry Styles sleeping around with the fans?"

I felt like crying, how could people write things like this about him? They have no idea what he is like, or what he is up to. I darted back home knowing that if I didn't I would have been seen crying - the press would have had a field day with that one! I entered my home, letting Zazu out as I did so and walked straight towards the living room. Seeing Niall and Hayley sat cuddled on the couch, I let out a large breath and sat on the arm chair to the left of them.

"What's up Ems?" Hayley asked looking concerned as she began to sit up.

"Nothing, just tired." I lied. Hayley knew me too well to know that I was lying but she let the conversation go, knowing I clearly didn't want to talk about it. I got myself up of the armchair and walked glumly up the stairs and into my room, turning my laptop on. I opened the Internet to see even more news stories about Harry and some brunette; it became to much, I decided to video call home.

I clicked the call button and waited for it to connect. Seconds later seeing my mothers forehead and the ceiling - her lack of knowledge with technology lightening my mood.

"Hey mum!" I giggled, "Lower the screen a little bit so I can see your face and not just the ceiling." I smirked, waiting for her to tilt the screen. She did as told smiling, as Jake plonked down next to her on the sofa.

"Hey Ems!" they both chorused.

"Hey guys! I miss you." I sniffled, being completely genuine.

"We miss you too! Whats up hun?" my mum asked concerned as she waited for my answer.

"Everything's just a bit too much. All of these rumours about Harry and other girls are starting to get to me and I don't know what to do! I don't think I can bottle it in for much longer." I confessed, wishing my mother was here so she could give me a reassuring hug.

"Sweetie, you don't have to bottle it in. If it's bothering you, talk to Harry about it. I know he won't be able to make it go away but he will comfort you when you need him. It's what he's there for." my mother responded wisely, making me consider her suggestion.

"Okay thanks mum, I'll talk to Harry about it." I spoke.

------{Harry's POV}------

I sat at home just finishing my sandwich (ham, it was good) until I heard my phone ring on the kitchen counter. I picked it up, looking at the caller ID before answering, "Hey Niall."

"Hey Haz, would you mind popping over to Emma's please?" he asked almost rushed.

"Yeah why? What's wrong?" I asked already locking the door and getting in my car. I know it was only 5 minutes round the corner but he sounded urgent.
