Chapter 3: Revnant Stryker

On the streets, Stryker looked everywhere for Jade. He found a trace of her. There was a torn cloth of Jade, on the floor...which meant she was near. As Stryker was about to continue his search, he was stopped by someone. It was Zack.

Zack: Hey, buddy. You looking for something?

Stryker said nothing, as he turned around to see Zack.

Zack: Whoa, is there a problem?

Stryker: I am here under Netherrealm business, if you do not wish for pain, you will turn around.

Zack: Netherrealm? What the hell is...wait a second...yellow eyes, pale skin, veins on your body. Your a Revenant like Jade was, aren't you?

Stryker: Was? Jade is no longer a Revenant?

Zack: No. Helena changed her back to her old self.

Stryker: Helena? Tell me, where is she and where is Jade?

Zack: Sorry, man. I ain't tellin you a thing!

Stryker: You will answer me! Tell me where Jade is...or you will die!

Zack: I don't see that happening!

Stryker fought against Zack and he was strong...even under Quan Chi's magic. Zack wasn't a bad fighter but he was no match for Netherrealm magic. Stryker defeated Zack, with ease and was ready to kill him.

Stryker: You refuse to cooperate, then you shall die.

???: I don't think so!

Before Stryker could kill Zack, he turned around and noticed a man, standing behind him. He was a tall man with a wide, muscular build, a slightly tanned complexion, dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a square-shaped face with a strong jawline. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, black shoes, and black fingerless gloves.

Stryker: This does not concern you! Leave now!

???: I cannot. You will not shed blood...not on my watch.

Stryker: You wish to die first, so be it!

???: I, Bayman will not fall to the likes of you!

The battle began, as Bayman challenged Stryker. Bayman was one tough opponent, trained in Sambo martial artist...that and he's a mercenary. Stryker held his own against Bayman and managed to show him that his Earthrealm skills were no match for Netherrealm magic. Stryker beat Bayman and knocked him down.

Stryker: Idiotic moron! You can't beat me! Now, to return to business.

Stryker began looking for Jade, leaving Bayman and Zack, knocked out. At the Sakura temple, Jade began her Mugen Tenshi training, she was fighting against the other students, trained under Hayate. She proved Hayabusa right that she was perfect, as a Mugen Tenshi student. Not only that, she was rocking her own ninja outfit. She had on a green camo kunoichi uniform, added with a mask. Helena and the others watched as she faced off against, one of the Mugen Tenshi students named Eliot. The match was eventually over, with Jade gaining victory.

Eliot: Not bad, you really are strong.

Jade: Thank you, for the match.

Jade helped Eliot on his feet and the group surrounded them, cheering both Eliot and Jade. Little did they know, Stryker had arrived. Finally locating Jade. He began to approach the ground and to Jade.

Jade: What? Stryker?

Helena: Stryker?

Stryker: So it is as he told me, you are free of Quan Chi.

Jade: Yes, I am. And you can be too. Same for the others. Come and we can...

Stryker: A Revenant suits me. I am pledged to Emperor Liu Kang and Empress Kitana.

Jade: Kitana? Stryker, please. Help me free the rest of our friends. They need us.

Stryker: I am here to bring you back to the Netherrealm, under there orders.

Jade: I am sorry, Stryker. But I will not return.

Stryker: No matter. Once you are dead, you will become one of us again.

Eliot: That's not happening!

Kokoro: We won't let you take her!

Stryker: You aren't gonna stop me! Get lost or die!

Stryker battled both Eliot and Kokoro. The Mugen Tenshi ninjas were willing to protect the new student Jade. However...Stryker was willing to bring her back. He fought against Eliot and Kokoro, proving to be a match for them, literally almost killing them.

Stryker: Police brutality can be a pain! Never interfere with Netherrealm business.

Jade: Stryker, stop!!! If you want me to return, then you will have to defeat me!

Stryker: That shouldn't be a problem. This will be too easy.

Jade: Do not underestimate me.

Stryker was ready for his last fight, if he could defeat Jade, he would bring her back to his rulers. He battled Jade and she put up a real fight. Stryker literally had a hard time weakening her. The skills that Hayabusa and the other ninjas were showing her proved to be quite an equal to Netherrealm magic...however, Stryker was not willing to give it up. He battled hard and eventually defeated Jade.

Stryker: Like I said before: I'm bringing you back.

Before he could, Hayabusa came from behind Stryker and knocked him out. Luckily, nobody that Stryker fought was badly injured. Helena waisted no time and brought Stryker back to DOATEC. Zack and Bayman arrived and offered to go with her. At DOATEC, she placed him in the machine that she used to revive Jade. Once the machine did what it had to do, the yellow veins on Stryker disappeared, his pale skin returned to it's original color and his yellow eyes, returned to normal. Stryker had returned to his human form.

Zack: That's another one, revived and rescued.

Bayman: Another?

Helena: Jade was a Revenant. We brought her back, when we first met.

Bayman: Hrm...I will return to the city. If there are others like him, I will bring them here.

Helena: Thank you.

Bayman said nothing, as he left the room, while Helena and Zack brought Stryker to her room, so that he could recover. On the streets, Kabal was searching for Jade but he had no luck. He kept on looking, until he found a trace. It was Stryker's SWAT badge. He was around, meaning that he could've been close. Kabal kept the badge and continued looking around for any trace of Jade AND Stryker. In a different location, Nightwolf was looking for Jade. He was somewhere, far away, from Kabal. In the area, it was simply a woodland with a dirt path. It was peaceful, as Nightwolf stopped to feel the breeze and listen to the wind, blow, through the leaves. He quickly snapped out of it and returned to searching for Jade. After a while, Stryker finally woke up. He rose from the bed, trying to remember what happened....it wasn't gone and he remembered fighting Jade and being attacked. He got up from the bed and looked around. He came into some office and encountered Helena.

Helena: Well, I see you are finally awake. Back to your old self, I hope.

Stryker: From the looks of it, it seems so.

Helena: My name is Helena Douglas, I am the one who restored you. And what is your name?

Stryker: It's Kurtis...but you can call me Stryker.
