Chapter 4: Revenant Kabal

Kabal was still looking for Jade, hoping to be close. All he had so far was Stryker's badge. As he was walking around, he came across a man, in his path...it was Bayman.

Bayman: May I help you with something?

Kabal: I am looking for someone. She is a woman, goes by the name of Jade.

Bayman: Jade is no longer one of you. She has returned to the living.

Kabal: It won't matter. Once, I find her, she will rejoin us, in death.

Bayman: I do not see that happening.

Kabal: Or perhaps, you wish to join us, first?

Bayman: I chose my own path, as should you.

Bayman challenged Kabal, in the Rocky Mountain passage. With his hookswords and Netherrealm magic, lingering within him, Kabal was unbeatable. He showed Bayman that he was no force to be reckoned with. However, Bayman was no pushover. He was pretty strong as well. With brute force, and incredible strength, Bayman showed Kabal that he was no force to be reckoned with. However, Kabal gained victory.

Kabal: Pathetic Earthrealmer.

Just as Kabal was about to finish Bayman, someone attacked him, from behind. It was a woman. A Japanese lady with amber eyes and long black hair tied in a ponytail. She was seen in an outfit with a white top with red ribboned edges and red kunoichi styled pants. She seemed to be a ninja, like Hayate, Hayabusa and the students.

???: Innocent blood will not be spilled here!

Kabal: You think you can stop me? Who do you think you are?

???: I am Momiji. I am a ninja. And I am here to stop you.

Kabal: Don't waste your time.

Another battle sprung, when Kabal faced off against Momiji. She was strong and fast. And because of the weapon she possessed, it was hard for him to attack her, due to the weapon that Momiji carried.however, due to Kabal's fast skills, he used it to his advantage, overwhelming Momiji and easily beating her.

Kabal: Even in death, speed is my ally. Time to continue looking for Jade.

Bayman and Momiji were left in the Rocky Mountains, while moving on to locate Jade. Back at the Sakura temple, Jade helped Hayate and Hayabusa treat the students who fought against Stryker. Jade could not help but feel responsible for everything.

Jade: This is my fault...

Hayabusa: No, it isn't. He is your friend.

Jade: Was my friend...we once fought together, to protect Earthrealm.

Hayabusa: He is under the spell that you were binded in. He can saved.

Jade: How do you know?

Hayabusa: Because you are here...in the living.

Jade: I suppose you are right. Maybe I should return to Netherrealm...

Hayabusa: You do not belong there. You belong here. It's my duty to keep you safe.

Jade: But I've done nothing but bring danger and harm...

Hayate: No, it's not true. Don't worry, Jade. I'm sure your friend Stryker is back to himself.

Hayate couldn't be more right, Stryker was with Helena still, enjoying some coffee and talking about some random things.

Helena: You are a member of the police department?

Stryker: Well, I was. After I died, I served that Quan Chi weirdo. He enslaved me...

Helena: It must have been hard to live with the memories.

Stryker: It was...but thanks to you, I was brought back. And so was Jade.

Helena: But of course.

Stryker: Now...I gotta help the others. They helped us, fight for Earthrealm. I can't leave them.

Helena: Do not worry, we will rescue them. I promise.

Stryker: Thanks a lot. By the way, you have any spare clothes I can change in?

Helena: I am afraid not. Why not try the market. I'm sure they have something, in your style.

Stryker: Thanks, I'll be back soon.

Stryker left the boat and made it to the dock, making his way into the city. When he got there, he came across a girl who was attacked by a familiar stranger. It was Kabal. Styker rushed over and saved the girl, just before Kabal could finish her off.

Stryker: Kabal!

Kabal: So you return to the realm of the living as well.

Styker: That's right. And so can you. There's a way to break free from the magic...

Kabal: Have you forgotten our loyalty to the Emperor and Empress?

Stryker: They're our friends, Kabal. They need us.

Kabal: You are a traitor to the Netherrealm! Step aside!

Styker: I'm sorry, Kabal. But I can't do that.

Kabal: Then you leave me no choice!

Kabal challenged Stryker, ready to kill and reform him into a Revenant. However, Stryker was ready to lose. Kabal used his speed, as an advantage to get the better of Stryker. He couldn't keep him and overwhelmed Stryker, beating him, like he did wi Bayman and Momiji.

Kabal: Time to rejoin us, traitor!

Stryker: Kabal...don't do this...

Kabal: My loyalty is to the Emperor, the Empress and the Netherrealm. You will rejoin us...one way or another.

Just as Kabal was about to end Stryker, he was electrocuted, from behind and knocked out. Both Stryker and the girl he attacked were spared. Stryker looked up and saw a man, standing before him. It was a tall man, with a shaved head and a stubble bears. He also had a light gray T-Shirt, and wears track pants, with a white Union Jack design on his right leg. He has a scar on his left cheek that appears to be nearly healed completely, and his melee weapon looks clean and shiny. He also has a brown/orange backpack, with a sly cooper sign where he kept his weapon on a strap attached to his bag. He also has tattoos on his arms.

???: You alright?

Stryker: Yeah, I think so. Thanks for the help.

???: Seems as though your friend could use some healing.

Stryker: We need to bring him to Helena. She'll know how to help him.

???: Gotcha.

Stryker: By the way, what's your name?

???: My name is Cole MacGrath.
