At Cole and Tina's house, Hayabusa, Momiji, Kasumi, Ayane and the stranger met up with Tina, as she explained what happened last night.
Kasumi: A nightmare?
Tina: Not exactly. I had this feeling that something terrible happened. Cole never came home, last night...
Hayabusa: And you think something happened to him?
Tina: I know something happened too him. You have to help me find him.
Ayane: Master Ryu?
Hayabusa: Cole is an ally and a friend. He has helped us save our realm. If he is in trouble, we need to find him.
Tina: I don't know where to look.
Hayabusa: Yesterday, at the temple, Mizuki came to me about Cole's whereabouts.
Tina: What? What did she say? Where is she?
Hayabusa: He traveled to the Netherrealm, to speak with Liu Kang.
Tina: The Netherrealm?!
Momiji: He could have been trapped...
Hayabusa: Right. We will need to be smart about this,if we want to rescue him and prevent any others from getting hurt.
Tina: I'm going with you. My husband is there and I need to know he'll be alright.
Hayabusa: Very well. Ayane, inform Hayate and the others of our quest and that we will be back shortly.
Ayane: Yes, master Ryu.
Kasumi: And what about us?
???: We're going to the Netherrealm for a rescue.
Kasumi: But won't the revenants be there?
???: We can deal with them, while the others search for Cole.
Hayabusa: Then it's settled. Let us make haste to DOATEC.
As they walked out, Tina stopped the stranger, along with Momiji.
Momiji: Is something wrong?
Tina: It's Cole...we've been together, ever since Zeke had brought him back, from the dead and since that battle with Outworld. I can't lose him...or my son.
Momiji: You have a son? Where is he?
???: She's referring to me.
Momiji: You're...you're Cole and Tina's child?
???: Yes. I was planning on telling you but with everything that's happened, I never had the chance too.
Tina: Momiji...I'm begging you, please look out for him...and bring back my husband.
Momiji: Of course, I will do what I can. Oh, which reminds me, you never told me your name, since we met.
???: ...it's Ethan. Ethan Armstrong.
At DOATEC, Hayabusa and Tina explained the situation with Helena, Stryker and Zeke.
Zeke: Damn, my buddy Cole is in trouble?
Tina: He never came home, last night. So I can only guess so.
Hayabusa: We will send a search team to the Netherrealm, led me and return MacGrath.
Stryker: Then let me help out.
Helena: Are you sure about this, Stryker?
Stryker: Cole saved me, from my death, back in Earthrealm 1. I owe him that much.
