Journal,

Well hello, old friend! I'm just kidding it's only been less than maybe five hours. I think? So I've decided that I should add pictures every so often to break up the routine writing. The picture paper clipped to this piece of paper is of Skye and I. Damn that was an amazing day.

It was our first date, it was probably mid-October, so it was a bit chilly out. We went to an outdoor haunted maze, with me knowing that she was into that type of stuff. Although Skye is usually the smarter one out of the two of us- she wasn't that day. She showed up in dark jeans, a grey tank, a dark green flannel and no jacket. Smart choice baby, great job.

So with me- being a gentleman and everything, I didn't give her my jacket. Screaming, "Damn Skye, I can't control the weather." You probably won't get that reference, you are a book after all. I'm just kidding though, of course I gave her my jacket. The date was pretty cool- I mean you know how a haunted maze works... Or maybe you don't. Either way, it was fun and we enjoyed it.

Seeing her bundled up in my jacket was the thing that sold it for me. It was a validation that she was finally mine. After years of being friends and both of us not wanting to date each other in fear that we'd no longer be friends. But the start of freshman year changed that. Fast forward four years later and we're still going strong.

I just don't know how to explain it. But damn I'm glad someone as beautiful as Skye decided to walk into my life. I can't imagine myself with anyone else, she's the one. And even though we're 18- I have this feeling. From being friends to more than that- I know this is going to work out.
