Dear Journal,
I'd do anything for her. Trust me, I'd kill.I can't remember what day it was last week but all I know is that asshole deserves everything that happened to him. No one and I mean no one hurts my girl. That asshole thought it was so funny to fuck with Skye.
She wasn't having a good day to begin with, she was having some personal issues with her health and that was bringing her down. She was texting me earlier in the morning around 5 ish and was really distraught about the whole thing. I was running late to school because I had gone to pick her up breakfast, she deserves it, she does so much and she doesn't get much physical credit in return.
When I got into school we still had some time before class began. I was walking up the hallway to where our homeroom was until I saw him. The jackass and his little gang of assholes. They had cornered Skye and we're getting significantly close to her. What perplexed me; however, was that no one had seemed to notice or try to stop it.
I was too far down the hallway to start anything now so I quickened my pace and silently prayed that nothing too bad would happen to her. I spotted one of Skye's best friends coming out of her homeroom and handed her the breakfast quite angrily. "Luca, what's go-" She stopped and saw where all my focus was set.
I was a few feet away from the guys and with every step I got more and more angry. I was just about to pull Adam by his collar away from her until one of his friends, at this point I don't remember who it was exactly because my vision just became red, grabbed at her boobs. The look of terror, disgust, and overall despair ran through her face and that's the thing that hurt the most.
Nothing else could amount to that pain of her not knowing how to react in a situation she never thought she'd even be a part of. My parents' death, the pain that I felt from that does not equate to the pain of seeing her like that. She is my baby, the one that gives me light and to see her with so much hurt in her eyes still pains me. An angel like that should never have to experience that amount of pain in their life.
We locked eyes for a quick moment, and I knew from whatever look I gave her, she knew that she'd be alright. I tore Adam's friend away from Skye and began beating on all of them. Punches and kicks were directed towards them, as well as, all of the profanity that I could think of. I punched Adam so hard in the face that I'm pretty sure that I broke his nose, but in my opinion, it didn't matter, he deserved it. Skye is a human being and is not a toy or a piece of meat. She's not to be played with like she doesn't have emotions or a nervous system to feel things. Sure she's a beautiful girl, but she is my girl and my girl only. My girl to touch, my girl to hold, my girl to love and I'd be damned if I let anyone do my job.
I was pulled away by Rayland, and taken into his classroom. My anger was still at a high level so he sat me down and didn't say a word for a few minutes. Actually, it was probably for more than that because he left the room for a long period of time to figure out what was going on, from what I could hear from inside the classroom.
Skye came in before Rayland and just hugged me with tears rolling down her face. "Thank you, Luca." I just held her tighter, if it wasn't for me, it probably would've gotten worse and to top it off the administration wouldn't have done anything about it either. "You didn't have to fight them though. You could've just told them to stop," She said once pulling away. Skye was never a fighter, well a physical one that is. She and her family weren't super religious but the did follow the rules of Quran, and being peaceful was one of them. So physically fighting someone was never condoned by her. She'd rather talk it out with someone than having to throw a punch. Usually I'd praise her for having that much control; however, her life and mental health were at risk and I was going to do anything to save it.
"If I didn't fight them, babygirl, it would have gotten worse. I know you want everything to be peaceful but, sometimes you gotta fight for the things you love," When I looked down at her, she shyly smiled. "You know you're gonna get in trouble right?" She said, looking up at me. "Yeah, but I love you and as your boyfriend, I must protect you," I answered, pushing her into my side.
Rayland opened the door and a sad look passed his face. "Luca, I'm very disappointed in you. You're one of my best students and yet you subject yourself to violence? What's going on man?" Rayland was a cool teacher, almost everyone loved him and would always go to him with their troubles. He wasn't only a teacher, he was like a friend that accepted you for you and all your flaws. He also didn't take bullshit, which is what I liked most about him, everything had to be done for a reason with him. That's why I didn't mind talking to him about this, he'd understand. "Sorry, Rayland. It's just, this one over here, was getting cornered and sexually assaulted that something needed to occur. And obviously it didn't need to become violent; however, no one was going to take a stand. So I did and my anger got the best of me, I apologize to you for causing a disruption but I do not apologize for my actions."
"That is all understood Mister Amoretto. You should explain this to the administrator exactly the way you did to me. However, you should understand that you will probably receive a suspension of some kind. Other than that I appreciate you being truthful and saving Miss Zaman from a situation that could have ended a lot more ugly," I nod and walk myself to administration with Skye. We stop at homeroom first to get her breakfast though, hey I wasn't wasting money here.
After a two hour talk with administration, I was given a week of out of school suspension with no further repercussions. Adam and his friends, on the other hand, were expelled and were rebuked their senior year credits. Was I sad that they wouldn't graduate the same year as us? No, it's not like they worked hard anyway. I took Skye home and we just cuddled, I never imagined a day like that to occur, but it did. And to be honest, I'm happy I was able to stop from something even worse happening. Because if it wasn't me, who else was going to step in?
I guess the moral of the story is to fight for what you love because you'll never know what will happen. I never though Skye would get sexually assaulted, especially at school. But the most unfortunate things happen to wrong people sometimes. Life isn't fair, and that's something that you're going to have to live with for as long as you live. So be respectful, be honest and most of all, be loving because it can all be gone tomorrow.
