Chapter 16

We went back to our hotel after our shopping trip and emily and terry came back to our hotel before they went home.

"well that was fun right?" said emily

"yeah i had a good time" i said

then emily pulled me to the side and asked

"can you do me a huge favor?"

"yeah whats up?" i asked

"i want to take terry out to dinner just the two of us its been really stressful with the baby here and we dont get a lot of alone time so i was wondering if you could babysit makayla tonight?"

"of course i will just let me know at what time and ill be ready" i said

"probably at 6:30 we like to keep it early and i hope michael doesnt mind" she said

"no he will be fine he loves kids" i said

then we said goodbye and they left and it was back to just me and michael.

"your friends are really nice how long have you known them?" michael asked as he sat down next to me on the couch

"well ive known emily since i was in 6th grade and terry ive known since they started dating" i said walking over to the bedroom and changing into a pair of sweatpants

"how long have they been married for?" he asked

"uh 3 yrs i think" i said sitting down next to him

"oh before i forget i promised emily id watch baby makayla for her shes going on a date night with terry and elizabeth is coming too since harry has a concert in 2 days" i said

"ok are we also going to harrys concert?" he asked

"not if you dont want to we can do anything you want but when are you leaving?" i asked

"in a couple of days" he said

"mkay but i just wish you didnt have to leave i miss you like crazy" i said scooting closer to him

"i do too but what are we going to do? you have to finish this movie" he said putting his arms around me

"can i ask you something?" i said

"sure what is it?" he said

"do you want to have kids?" i asked

"yeah ive always wanted kids why? do you want kids?" he asked looking at me

"i do ive always wanted to get married and have a family i always said i would get married and have my first child before i was 30" i said smiling

"can i ask you something now?" he asked

"yes you can" i said

"when you think about getting married and having kids do you see me as your husband and the father of your kids?" he asked and it kinda shocked me

"to be honest with you i do, i do see you in my future and us getting married and having kids" i said giving him a kiss on the cheek and i asked him the same question "do you see me as your wife and the mother of your children?"

"actually i dont and i feel really bad" he said kinda serious

"wait what? then why would you ask me that question and then when i ask you the question you say no?" i asked pulling away

"i just wanted to know where we are headed" he said

"we are not headed anywhere if im not in your future then why are we together?" i said sounding sad
