That next morning, I walked down the street as I saw the leaves rolling across the street.
I stopped as I heard the lady across the road.
I nodded my head back at her as she grabbed her kid and moved away quickly.
"You are really warming up to them." Cassie said back to me as she handed me the cup of coffee.
"I'm a murderer to them Cassie." I looked back at her.
"And that's why we love you." Cassie smiled back at me.
"I really do hate you."
Cassie smiled back at me, "Why does it matter?"
"I see it on their faces. I mean JJ is hurt and I don't know how to fix that."
"I am pretty sure that she is gone. She won't be fixed anytime soon." Cassie looked back at me.
"I hate seeing it."
"I walked back to Thomas and Shep and I fear so much for Tristan."
"Ares came back to us. He walked out infront of everyone. He knows that we are not gonna win."
Cassie looked at me, "Are you scared?"
"Every day."
"What do they want?"
I shook my head back at her, "Ares said it, we are back together and it scares them."
"The Guardians are alive." Cassie smiled at me.
"And we have a new generation that is gonna scare them to death." I said back to her as I sipped on my coffee.
"So what happened in that place?" Cassie asked me.
I glanced up at her.
"You flinch at the loudest sound and I think I saw your eyes glaze over the other day."
"You know that little force field they had in that place?"
Cassie nodded her head.
"They built it because of me."
"What did you do?"
"I tried for the first 2 years to escape."
"You tried for 2 years?"
"I would get out of my cell, get to the door and just break down. I would cry at the door as they knocked me out and took me back to my room."
"Jordana, you are an idiot."
I looked at her, "But it never stopped me."
"It didn't work on you?"
"No, you know my mother. I am kinda a different breed."
Cassie smiled at me, "So what do you think of everyone?"
I looked at her.
"I mean the kids, what do you think?"
"Who do I start with?"
"Surprise me." Cassie smiled at me.
