28. We Both Know We Ain't Kids No More

"I am actually flying! I got the plane up!" Landon smiled as Matt high fived him.

Avery sat down in the chair as Emmett glared back at her.

Avery put her hand on her side as Shep glanced over at her.

"You are bleeding!" Shep blurted out.

"I am good." Avery said back to him.

Shep looked back at her as Avery ran her hand over the wound.

JJ looked back from the window, "Where are we going?"

"We are taking the plane south of Rome. We are going to take it right into a mountain." Avery said back to them.

Everyone looked back at her confused.

"Jax probably already told them that we are up in the air. They are on high alert so go out of the way and send them away from Rome and that gives us time to get back to them." Avery said back to them.

Tristan smiled back at her, "You sure are Jordana's kid."

Avery smiled back at him.

"Nah that is Christian." Landon blurted out from the front of the plane.

Matt glared back at Landon.

JJ nodded her head, "So we sleep?"

Avery nodded her head as Emmett got up and went toward the back of the place.

Emmett glared back at her, "They have Mavi. I was supposed to watch her. Stephen told me that if I wanted to date her that I had to protect her. What is he gonna think when she is dead?"

"You really think they are gonna kill her?"

"And you don't?"

"They know your connection to her. That is power over you!"

"If they kill her then I want them dead."

"That is why they haven't killed her."

"Yet, you forgot that word."

"No, I didn't because they won't kill someone who is immortal."

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

"The Guardians bloodline, we are immortal. That is why I am saying we crash the plane. We can't die."

"Are you sure about that one?"

"Mavi and I were bored one night when Mavi blurted out that she had fell down the steps and broken her arm. She looked at it as she was able to pop it back into place and the bones fixed themselves. So I looked at her like she was high as fuck but she wasn't."

"But how does that make immortal?"

"You know the mountain we went to?"

Emmett glared back at her.

"Mavi and I jumped from the top. That jump should have killed us. I came back to the top of the water as Mavi was laughing at me."

"That still doesn't account for anything!"

"Ever notice the little scar on Mavi's right side?" Avery asked him.
