|Chapter 4| Becoming Lord

Garroth's POV
I woke up and did my daily routine. When I walked outside heading for my post, I stared at the roads surprised until I remembered what Aphmau did the other day. There's Aphmau! She's waving and smiling at everyone making me blush when she waved at me. "Good morning lady Aphmau!"
"Hi, Garroth! Do you know why everyone is calling me 'lord Aphmau'?"
I was staring at her wide eyed but, I still had my helm on. "Are they? I would guess it's because of all the improvements you're making on the village. Follow me." She followed me into the guard station she made for us. Laurence came in right after Aphmau.

Aphmau's POV
Oh, great! Laurence is here... And does that guy have... blue hair?! I screamed in my mind when Laurence and the blue haired guy came in the door right behind me.
"Hello, I'm Dante! Aren't you Aphmau?"
"Yes, yes I am..." I replied to Dante's question.
"Sit down everyone!" Garroth commanded. Everyone sat in wooden chairs that were surrounding a little wooden table.
"As you might know," started Garroth, "Aphmau has been improving this village so much, it's hard not to notice. Everyone has been calling her lord so I think we should make her lord!"
"Aphmau? Do you accept?" Laurence said winking at me.
"Uh... er..."
"Say 'I accept' if you accept." Dante whispered to me.
"Well then, I accept!" We all kind of silently cheered as we piled out the door to tell the village.
"Laurence, you tell the right side of town and Dante, you tell the left. I will take the middle with Lord Aphmau."
"Aww! Why can't I have her?!" Laurence wined.
"Laurence!" Dante smacked him.
"Ouch! Hey!" He complained.
Garroth shared a look with me sort of since he has his helm on. I think we both rolled our eyes.

Garroth's POV
Laurence must like her... Well I guess I have competition... We watched Laurence and Dante walk away and then we set of towards Lucinda's house. What should we talk about... Uhm... "So, are you liking the village so far?" I asked hesitantly.
"Yah! I've met Kawaii~chan and Cadenza. Cadenza and I were talking for a few hours inside her house."
"Well, come meet Lucinda, she's a witch." I said indicating the house in front of us. She walked up to the door and knocked, she still had that beautiful smile on her face.
"Can I help y-" Lucinda looked at Aphmau like she was the last person on Earth. "So, YOU'RE the new 'kawaii' girl that Kawaii~chan keeps telling EVERYONE about." Lucinda said giving me and Aphmau a sweet smile. Why is she looking at us like that? Did Kawaii~chan tell her something?
"We came here to tell you I'm the new lord in Phoenix Drop!" Aphmau said, changing the subject.
"Congrats! I have to go feed Bigglesworth so, see you soon!"
I swear I saw her laughing before she closed the door completely. We told the rest of the people living around Lucinda and parted ways.
"Goodbye Garroth!" Aphmau chirped.
"Goodnight beautiful..." I whispered.
"What?" She was looking at me awkwardly.
"Goodnight!" I say before going home. Was she blushing?! I smile under my helm.
This was mostly Garroth's POV so that gives you a peek of his mind ;)
