|Chapter 5| A New Face

Aphmau's POV
I woke up and took a second to recall the events of yesterday and immediately started blushing. Garroth had called me 'beautiful' and I pretended I hadn't heard him properly. Do I like him? I think as I get dressed. I head out and start checking the village. I knock on Kawaii~chan's door first.
"Yes? OH! Aphmau~senpai!" Kawaii~chan squealed.
"Come in! Come in!" She insisted pulling me inside.
"Kawaii~chan made you some cake!"
"For breakfast?!"
"Kawaii~chan made BREAKFAST cake!"
"That's possible?! Best breakfast ever! Thank you Kawaii~chan!"
"Kawaii~chan wanted to congratulate Aphmau~senpai with a cake so, here's Aphmau~senpai's cake!"
We ate our cake and then I said goodbye to Kawaii~chan and went to check on the rest of the village.

*3 hours later*

I just needed to check on Garroth now... I've already checked Dante and Laurence. He's your guard... No need to be shy... Just discuss village business, right? I was just about to head into the guard station when someone said, "Are you looking for me?" I turned around and blushed. "Y-yes. I just finished checking on everyone else! Just you left." I said nervously.
"Let's go inside." He offered and I followed him up to the second story where the guards had made their rooms.
"Anything go wrong today?" I asked.
"Nope... A-Aphmau?"
"Yah."
"I-I um, w-wanted to s-show y-you something..." He spoke rapidly.

Garroth's POV
"I-I um, w-wanted to s-show y-you something." I stuttered. Wait to go Garroth! You stuttered again! I reached for my helm that was on my head and lifted it off my head revealing my face to the women that I think I love.
"G-G-Garroth!? Y-your f-face!?"
"My apologies m'lady..." I say blushing and putting my helm on.
"No! Keep it off... I mean... You just look, SO young..." She says awkwardly as she reaches for my helm pulling it off my head again. I started to blush madly. I must've been as red as a tomato! I looked down at my feet but she lifted my head up examining my face and realized she was staring.
"S-sorry." She stammered.
"It's ok, you haven't seen my face before!" She smiles at me and looks at her feet blushing out of control at the same time that I lift her chin up and brush the hair from her face. We were now both looking like tomatoes!
"You're beautiful when you blush..." I whisper. She looks into my eyes-
"What did I miss!" Laurence cheerfully yelled. "Oh! Did I interrupt something? Oh well! SHES MINE GARROTH! Let's FIGHT!" He screamed playfully.
"W-w-what a-a-are y-you t-talking about L-Laurence?!" I say.
"You guys were seriously just staring at each other! Really Garroth? You basically just told her that you lo-" I muted him by slapping my hand over his mouth.
"I'm just going to go..."
"Wait! Aphmau... Goodnight. And make it home safe ok? Would you like me to escort you home?" I said quickly before she left.
"Sure Garroth." She replied. We walked out the door and I lead her home leaving Laurence in the guard station.
"G-Garroth, you didn't bring your helm?"
"Hmm? Oh! Well I guess since you've seen my face, might as well let you see it one last time tonight..."
"Oh, ok." I leave her in her house and go back to the guard station where Laurence was waiting to give me a pep talk no doubt. "What was with the s-s-stuttering?!" Laurence said nearly falling over while laughing.
"I, uh, well..."
"Whatever, anyways! You NEED to tell her! You just showed her your face and haven't you told her she was beautiful several times already? Garroth, get her before I do!"

Aphmau's POV
Did Garroth just call me beautiful an hour ago?! He brushed the hair from my face and I think we were both blushing like we were about to explode! Hmm... Maybe I DO love him... I think while lying in bed with my kigurumi on. I fell asleep a couple minutes later on my purple bed.
Phew! 700 words! That's my longest so far! Garroth and Aphmau are getting close! Garroth just showed his face and made a small move! We have two little tomatoes in love! Heheh... Tomatoes? Because several times I said they were blushing like tomatoes? No? Ok... Anyways! Thanks guys for over 60 views! I'm gonna stop typing because I'm over 760 words! :) Bye!
