|Chapter 15| The Right Thing

HOLY FUDGE NUGGETS! APHMAU CAN BRING BACK THE DEAD!

Zane's POV

I was talking with my big brother when a woman with a beautiful purple dress interrupted us.

"Leave now." She said in a serious tone. I laughed my unique laugh, it always sounded evil.

"Well, well! Now then, you are really going to kick someone out of your village before you've met them?"

"I may not know you, but Garroth obviously knows you and doesn't want you here, so as lord of this village, I command you to leave!" She said almost screaming at me.

"Brother, have you found love and not told her you're engaged?" I smirked at my ice blue eyed brother. He glared at me with some hatred in his eyes. The "lord" was looking shocked, she was staring at Garroth with wide eyes.

"Zane... LEAVE!" Garroth shrieks as he lunges at me with his diamond sword.

Garroth's POV

"Zane," I say reaching for my sword, "LEAVE!" Lunging at him with full force, I managed to cut his left leg. Damn it! I meant to kill him! I land on my feet and step back from Zane who is now rolling on the ground. 

Aphmau's POV

I watched as Garroth attacked Zane and slice open his left leg. He stepped back and looked at me, there was fire in his eyes... Rage... That was the first thing I could think of when I stared into his icy blue eyes that were burning with rage. (More like MELTING! HAHAHA! Because his eyes are ice blue? And he has fire in his eyes? No... Oh... Ok... *Grabs a paper bag and shoves on head before walking into a corner*) 

"G-Garroth!" I manage to shout over Zane's moans. He looked at me. That look was one that meant I'm-sorry-but-I-had-to-or-I-would-have-to-marry-someone-I-don't-love. I gave him a knowing look so he knew I understood.

"But, what do we do now?" I asked in a sort of panicked tone.

"I don't know... Maybe tell Zoey and let her nurse him back to health?"

"But then we'd have to carry him through the village!"

"Kill him and bury him in the forest?"

"GARROTH!"

"Sorry, I h-had t-to!" He said laughing.

"Maybe we can carry him through the forest over there and up to my house?" I suggested. Garroth grabbed his shoulders while I grabbed his feet, we carried the black haired demon through the lush green forest and exited the woods near my house. When we approached my purple double doors, I dropped Zane's feet and opened the doors, grabbing Zane's stupid big feet again. After Garroth shut the doors, Zoey bolted up from out of my basement and saw who we had brought in.

"W-wha- I- J-just, WHAT HAPPENED?!" She screamed kneeling down to look at Zane's wounded leg.

"He was bugging us..." Garroth muttered.

"He would have taken Garroth to O'khasis!"

"Oh! What's your plan for him..." She asked biting her bottom lip.

"Heal him and when he wakes up, we'll say he fainted and we took him in. When he's better we'll let him leave." I say with confidence that it was the best idea any of us could think of at that moment.

"When he wakes up, he'll ask about his injury..." Zoey trailed off trying to think of something.

"Maybe, when he fainted, he fell forward and I went to catch him, but my sword cut his leg?" Garroth suggested.

"Perfect!" "Brilliant!" Zoey and I said at the same time. We carried Zane downstairs into the extra room and placed him gently onto the bed. Garroth and I said good bye to Zoey before taking Levin upstairs and putting him to bed.

"Hey beautiful!" Garroth called. I blushed and fluttered my eyes at him.

"Yes, Mr. Handsome?"

"Get over here!" He says grabbing my waist and pulling him towards me. He planted his lips on mine and we kissed until we were out of breath. He carried me bridal style onto our bed where we kept making out until we finally fell asleep after flirting with each other.

"I love you, Garroth."

"I'm sure you do, but I love you more." I giggle and lay my head on his chest. I could feel his heart beat, this comforted me as I slowly drift off to sleep.
