I looked up at Aysha. "You come here a lot?" I asked.
She nodded. "Normally after dinner I go for a walk and I found here. It's quiet and peaceful."
"It's nice."
She smiled. "I'm glad you think so."
I smiled back up at her. I took a real look at her. Her light eyes, that I swore were a more blueish-hazel, not green, didn't have that tough look they had when I first ran into her. They almost had a look of vulnerability, like there was more of a past to her. My eyes traveled down her face. Her small, cute nose; her perfect lips, that were very soft; they all interested me.
Aysha smirked. "Having fun?"
"Yup," I said with my own smile.
"What're looking at? Is there something on my face?"
I chuckled. "No. I was just looking."
"At?"
"Everything. Eyes, nose, lips.."
"Lips huh?" Her smile grew. "Interesting."
I raised an eyebrow in confusion but before I could ask anything, she kissed me. This kiss felt different. It wasn't a drunk party game kiss or one with a strong sense of urgency. It was one of passion and meaning.
I kissed her back with the meaning and passion she put into it. Before long, we were inertwined in a make-out session. Not a meaningless one.
I ended up laying on my back in the grass and she was on top of me. Things got a little more intense. Her hand slid down to my jeans. She fumbled with the button. The setting and air was perfect, but it didn't feel entirely right just yet. I broke the kiss and lightly grabbed her wrist. "Not now," I said quietly.
Aysha looked at me worriedly and slid her hand away. She adjusted her position so she was laying on her side, cuddling me. "I'm sorry," she said quietly.
"It isn't you," I assured her.
"Then what is it?"
"I just...we've been dating for a week. I'm sure I want you to take it, but I'm just not ready yet."
"Wait, take what?"
"Umm..."I started uncertainly. I shut my eyes. "I'm a virgin."
Aysha was silent for a moment. I was scared. Was she going to leave me for being a virgin?
"Riley," she started. "Look at me."
I opened my eyes and looked at her. She moved a piece of hair away from my face. "It's okay," she said. "Being a virgin. That's nothing to be ashamed of. I understand. We'll wait until you're ready, okay?"
I smiled. I was relieved. She wasn't gonna leave me. "Thanks," I said. "Thanks for not leaving me."
I saw a flicker of hurt in Aysha's eyes. "Why would I leave you?"
"Because I'm a virgin."
"So? Like I said before. Nothing to be ashamed of. I'm honored that you want me to be your first."
I nuzzled my head into her and she held me tighter. "Aysha," I said. "Am I, you know, your first."
She didn't answer right away. "Girl wise," she replied. "Yes. All together wise, no."
"May I ask who?"
Aysha chuckled. "Luke."
"Luke?" I asked surprised, "Luke Luke? Party Luke?"
"Yeah."
"Damn."
"Yeah, well. It was at one of his parties when we were dating, him and I. I kinda of regret it actually. It wasn't meaningful. I'm glad you're waiting though, so it is."
"Thanks," I mumbled. Then something hit me. "Wait, you aren't gay?"
"No," she laughed. "Pansexual. I told you this, remember?"
"Ohh," I said.
"Yeah."
We laid there for a little bit. Cuddling. Kissing occasionally.
A little bit later, Aysha sat up. She looked at her phone. "Shit," she breathed. "We gotta go. We're gonna be late."
"How long do we have?" I asked, sitting up as well.
"Five minutes."
"Well," I said. "Let's go."
We got up, brushed each other off, and took off running.
