It seems that on the mobile version of this chapter, on the first sentence shows up. It may only be my phone. If not, I'm sorry. The regular site has the entire thing.

Aysha and I ran as fast as we could. We were running late and it took us 15 minutes to get to the park. We ran up her driveway and into the house. Just as we got past the door, I saw the oven clock turn to 10:00. We just made it.
"Cutting it close?" I heard Mrs. Polands ask.
"Just a bit," Aysha replied, trying to catch her breath. "Sorry."
Mrs. Polands waved her hand to dismiss it. "I don't care, you got home by the time I set. Now, you two go upstairs and head to sleep. We're going to the mall tomorrow."
Aysha and I went upstairs. We brushed our teeth and changed. She made a bed on the floor. I laid down and she shut off the light. We said good night to each other and I went to sleep.
The next morning, Aysha shook me awake, We got dressed and ate. We cuddled for some time on the couch until we heard her mom come down the stairs. We separated by the time she entered the living room.
"Alright, let's go," she said.
Mrs. Polands drove Aysha, Jen, and I to North Charleston. When we got to the mall, her mom turned to us. "Stay away from those devil stores. No Hot Topic or Spencer's," she instructed. "I'll be in the Family Christian Store or Books-A-Million. We'll have lunch at Chic-Fil-A."
"Okay," we all said together.
Mrs. Polands turned and walked away. Once she was out of earshot, I asked, "So, where are we headed?"
Aysha smiled. "Spencer's."
We walked into the store and I was amazed by the stuff in there. I ended up walking too far back. "Oh Jesus!" I cried at the site of the blow-up doll for sale. I turned away. "My virgin eyes," I said to Aysha.
She laughed and so did Jen. "Let's go you," Aysha said.
We walked out and wandered for a bit. We went to Hot Topic but didn't buy anything. Jen, Aysha, and I bought some body spray at Bath & Body Works. After about an hour, we headed outside to get some air.
I hopped up on a railing but Aysha stood. Jen saw someone she liked and left to go talk to him.
"So," Aysha started. "How are you?"
I chuckled at the question. Of all the conversation starters out there. "I'm okay. Enjoying my time with an amazing girl. You?"
She chuckled as well. "I'm doing good. I'm seeing this very cute girl. She makes my day great no matter what."
I smiled and blushed. Aysha got a kick out of that and laughed. "Someone's embarrassed," she taunted.
"Am not," I replied.
"Are too."
"Are not."
"We sound like children."
I nodded in amused agreement. We stayed quiet for a little bit. "So," I said, breaking the silence. "What would happen if your mom found out?"
"About us?" she asked.
I nodded.
"She's tell your mom if she didn't already know. Probably keep me in church twenty-four seven. Lock me in my room. Send me to a conversion camp over the summer. Yours?"
"About the same."
"Well," she said. "Let's just not get caught."
"Agreed."
Aysha looked around. Outside was pretty empty. It looked like it was going to rain. She leaned in and gave me a quick kiss.
It wasn't quick enough. The door leading outside opened while she did it.
"Oo," we heard a painfully familiar voice say. "You both are so fucked now."
Melinda Wincock had caught us kissing.
