Chapter Twelve; Just A Date

"So Zach asked you out on a date?" Pandora asked smiling, I gave her a look of disbelief. Today was Thursday which meant Zach and I's date was in two days, and I had to tell her because she was going to do my makeup and all of that.

"Yeah..." I blushed, trailing off, repeatedly, moving a lock of the cinnamon colored hair out of my face.

"Awwh I knew you guys didn't hate each other!"

"We're not dating, it's just a date!" I reminded her, because like I said before I barely know anything about him.

She didn't listen she continue to fan girl. So I just gave up.

"What will the Zebruhs think?"

Yes, I'm not a fake fan. I've seen his broadcasts. He calls his supporters Zebruhs.

"I don't know, but some of them know I exist. I was in Sterlings broadcasts, yesterday and a couple of times."

Pandora shrugged and went on her phone probably to text Val, and Quinn about the date, I had.

»

"I'm so happy for you! Your finally going to get a boyfriend and have your first kiss-"

"We already kissed." I mumble to Valentine who squeals as does Pandora.

"And it's their first date, so don't get her hopes up by saying they are going to date." Quinn reminded them, I nodded blushing slightly.

I was so nervous. Like, why was I even nervous? I don't fucking know, okay!

"Breathe."

I looked in the mirror and saw my reflection. I didn't look too fancy, okay I didn't look fancy at all. I was dressed Casual. I was dressed like I normally do. In a "whatever" kind of vibe when in reality I actually do care. I'm not chill, I care about things...

"Deep breaths." Quinn mumbled silently laughing at how nervous I was.

I ignored them, I heard a knock on the room down and everyone went silent. It was probably Zach...

No one answered the door so they person knocked again, "room service!"

I could tell that isn't want actually room service and it was Zach. I could tell it by his voice. I shook my head for if myself not to laugh while opening the door.

"Y-you look wow."

"Thanks? You do realize I'm not wearing a dress or anything you don't have to pretend that I look pretty." I mumbled, insecurely.

"I'm not lying though, you do look pretty, beautiful actually."

"So do you."

Am I really that nervous that I called Zach pretty or well beautiful.

"Thanks I'd rather look manly though."

I smiled innocently, walking out the hotel room.

"Well your not Manly, your Zach."

"Is that a bad thing?" He asked smiling.

"No it's a good thing." I shrugged, whispering, "a really good thing."

»

"Where are we going?" I laughed, trying my best not to fall of the skateboard.

Zach was on his Hover board and I was riding on my Skate board following him because he planned on where we were going.

"This place."

"Really?" I gasped mockingly, Zach nodded laughing. "We're going to a place! Wow."

"I know." He said, squealing. I laughed, thinking about how cute he sounded.

"Can you just tell me? I don't like surprises."

He looked at me in disbelief, "you don't like surprises?"

"I'm not a very patient person." I shrug smiling at his facial expressions. I have a feeling I'm going to be laughing and smiling a lot on this date, especially with him.

»

Ten minutes later and we were still not there yet. It was probably five but I can't tell time.

"Are we-"

"Yes, we're here." Zach laughed, smiling.

I looked around to see that we were somewhere in the woods. Their was a tree house near by. So I guess we were going up in there.

Zach got off his hover board, and I got off my skateboard and placed it by the tree.

"Well, ladies first." Zach laughed. I nodded, gesturing for him to get up first. He glared at me but didn't question It.

When we both got up in the tree I noticed that he set it up so their was a picnic in the tree. I looked at it in Awe. He said he wasn't the romantic type! This is really romantic!

"I thought you said you weren't the romantic type." I stated, smiling as we both sat down on the picnic blanket.

"I'm not, Quinn set this up."

I laughed, smiling. That sounds so much like Quinn.

"THEIRS COOKIES." Zach exclaimed looking into the picnic basket. I started laughing as he grabbed one and started eating it.

He looked like a five year old, I'm pretty sure he was a five year old. It was really cute.

"How's the cookie, Zachy?" I teased, as he swallowed the last bite of it.

"Heaven." He mumbled and I laughed, again.

"Your such a cute little five year old." I grinned while his face lit up at the mention of the word, cute.

"I'm cute?"

"Shut up." I giggled, as he grabbed another cookie.

»

We stayed their until it got dark. I was looking out the window up at the stars.

"It's so beautiful."

"You-"

"If you say I'm beautiful, I will slap you." I warned looking back at him to see he just had put his hands up in defense.

»

"I had fun, tonight." Zach laughed, then stopping when we reached the door to my room in the hotel.

"Same, I can't believe we're going back home in two weeks." I smiled, he nodded.

"Yeah neither can I." He stated, nodding.

He started leaning in and I did too.

I came to my senses and pushed him away. He looked hurt but I couldn't, I couldn't kiss him, I just couldn't.

"I'm sorry, I can't. I just can't." I told him my voice breaking as I opened the door and quickly walked inside of the room. When I got in there, I shut the door, and leaned onto the door. Sliding down the door, I reached the ground and sat down with a sigh.

"I really can't do this." I whispered, a tear sliding down my face.

I was scared...

I was more than scared. I was terrified. I didn't want my heart to get broken. Not again.
