Lloyd

Not a word was spoken. I shuddered and pulled my blanket around me tighter.

" Are you seriously cold?" Cole asked, raising a bushy eyebrow.

" A little...." I lied, staring into the fire as it slowly began to die. Cole stood up and stretched his back.

" Everyone to their tents. We still have sunrise exercise, you know." He said, dumping a bucket of water on the fire. The others groand and got up.

" Why do we have sunrise exercise on vacation?" Jay whined, popping his knuckles. Cole shrugged and waved.

" Night, everyone." He said, walking away from the dying fire and to his tent. Kai yawned, did a half-hearted salute, and walked to his own tent. Jay and Nya said goodnight to each other and went to their own tents, leaving only myself and Zane.

" Aren't you going to your tent, Lloyd?" He asked, standing up.

" In a little while." I said, blowing a piece of blond hair out of my eyes. Zane shrugged and walked away. I stared blankly at the remains of the fire, my mind racing.

Serpents made of bones......A spiked beast........An evil cat.......Living skeletons.......Living shadows......

I jumped at the sound of a twig breaking. I snapped around and saw my Father.

" Stupid sticks." He said, kicking the remains of the stick aside. " Lloyd, aren't you going to bed? It's almost midnight." He said. I nodded, and unwrapped myself, trying to hide the fact that I was truly terrified.

" Lloyd, are you alright?" He asked.

" Yeah, fine. Just tired, that's all." I lied

" You are tired alot, but you're never like this. What happened?" He asked.

" It's nothing, I swear." I sighed, trudging to my tent. He sighed and returned to his own. I dropped my blanket in a corner and laid down ontop of my sleeping bag, unable to sleep. I began to become sleepier, and sleepier, until sleep eventually found me.
