Lloyd

We drove up countless paths until we came to a clearing. We parked under some trees on the far side of the camp, and we all jumped out.

" We are here!" I shouted, running around the perimeter of the camp.

" Lloyd, stop shouting or a bear is gonna come get you." Kai said, stretching his arms. I stopped running and looked at him wide eyed.

" Don't worry, Lloyd. There has not been a report of a bear here for years." Mom said lovingly. She looked over her shoulder and glared at Kai.

" Lloyd, we need your help unloading the van!" Cole shouted from the back of our fifteen seater van. We had left the last row, which could hold four people, back at the rental place, since we needed the space in the trunk. I ran over and smiled at Cole. He rolled his eyes and handed me one end of the camping stove.

" Slowly walk backwards." He told me. I took a few steps backwards, and he jumped out of the van, holding the other end. We carried the stove over to my Dad, who was directing how we layed out camp.

" Place the stove over near the firepit, but place it about seven feet from the fire." He instructed. We nodded and carried the stove over to the firepit, and left it exactly seven feet away. I looked to my Dad, who gave me an approving nod. I smiled and ran back to the van. We continued to unload the van for the next fifteen minutes, then we pitched our tents, tied the canoes to trees, arranged the food in the back of the van, and made a pile of firewood.

After another half an hour of camp prep, we were done. Camp was set up. We all sat down in our beach chairs just as the sun set over the horizen. A loud rumbling sound disrupted the momentary peace, and everyone looked at me.

" Guess I'm kinda hungry." I said. Jay and Kai looked at each other and nodded. Jay began passing out long sticks, and Kai pulled out his elemental blade. He aimed it at the firepit, which already had wood in it, and started a fire. " S'mores anyone?" Jay said, revealing a bag of marshmallows.
