Chapter 18

Lloyd

Cole quickly got out of his tent. He grabbed Sensei's gong and smacked the stick off it as hard as he could.

" Ninja up!" He shouted. Birds flew out of trees in terror, and a deer froliced away.

" Great job, Cole! You disrupetted the whole forest!" Kai groaned, crawling out of his tent. Cole put the gong back down.

" The Senseis are missing." He told him. Kai looked from Cole to me.

" Really? Lloyd just isn't trying to get us back?" He asked skeptically.

" Why would I do that? One of them is my dad!!" I shouted.

" What's going on?" A ranger said, running into our campsite.

" Everythings fine. Lloyd here misplaced his baseball cap, so he grabbed our Sensei's gong and threw a large stone off it." Cole lied. I glared at him. Thanks alot, Cole. Make me look even more so like a baby. The ranger smiled at me kindly.

" We'll keep an eye out for it." He said with a wink. " Take care." He said, leaving the campsite. We watched him leave the premesis before letting out a sigh of relief.

" That was strange." Zane said suddenly, coming out of his tent. " I didn't sense him coming."

Cole rolled his eyes. " Because you were sleeping. duh."

" But this was different. Lloyd woke me, and everything within a one-hundred mile radius, up." He said, looking at me.

" What! Cole is the one who banged on the gong!" I replied in my defense. Zane shrugged.

" I sense everyones presence in the camp, except for our Senseis and Misako.....but I never sensed the rager, even while he was in the camp."

" Zane, what are you saying?" Kai asked.

" What I'm saying is....I don't think that park ranger was really a ranger, but, rather....something that has already served its time in this world!" He said in his logical way.

" English please?" Jay asked groggily, crawling out of his tent. Zane sighed.

" That wasn't a human, but rather.....a skeleton."
