I ran into camp just as the clock struck six. The ninjas were just arriving for Sunrise-Exercise. Jay saw me sneak into camp and smirked.
" Cutting it a little close, don't ya' think?" He asked, crossing his arms. I sighed and walked over to the clearing.
" Last time I check, smack talk wasn't an exercise." I shot back, finding a spot far away from Jay.
" Well, if it was, you would be better at that then-"
" Enough!!" Uncle Wu shouted, interrupting Jay mid-sentence. Put put his hands together and lowered his head.
" Yes, Sensei." He said, looking back up.
" Now, shall we begin, or do you want to keep snipping at my nephew?" Uncle Wu said to Jay, hands folded behind his back. Kai and Cole both snickered quietly, but just loud enough for Jay to hear. He rolled his eyes and waved his hand.
" Thank you for your permission......" Uncle Wu said, turning around. We did exercises for the next half an hour. After we were dismissed, I tried to sneak out of camp when Kai caught me.
" Lloyd, we are taking a canoe out onto the lake, wanna come?" He asked, a green life-vest in hand. I nodded eagerly, and he handed me the vest.
" Put on your swimsuit and meet us down at the lake in ten." He said, walking away to find his own equippment. I smiled and ran to my tent, threw on my swim trunks and a t-shirt, and ran down to the lake.
