A/N: Hi. Robert looks like Bo. Hahaha. AND THE TITLE IS A JOKE.
;;;;
"-He's originally from Boston, but he doesn't have that intense Boston accent, which it kind of weird since he's lived there all his life. But he's going to New York University in the fall! That's only thirty minutes away!" Frank gushes, picking through his fruit salad with a fork.
Gerard and him were sat down near the lobby of the resort, eating the complementary breakfast. All the food looked very unappetizing as Frank spoke about the boy he met last night. He hadn't stopped once, even with a pound of food in his mouth. Gerard wanted to choke himself with his egg benedict.
"And I saw you were with a girl last night?" Frank puts on a seductive face, insinuating everything under the sun. Gerard ignores him.
"What's this guy's name again?" The seventeen year old asks, even though he knows the answer already. Maybe if Gerard shows absolutely no interest in this guy, he'll start to actually believe that. Or even better, Frank will drop this guy.
Frank gives Gerard an annoyed look. "Robert, I already told you."
He furrows his eyebrows. "Isn't... Bob's first name, Robert?"
Frank goes a bit pink and stares down at his food. He shrugs. "Maybe I like Roberts."
Why can't you like me?
"So, quit ignoring me! Did you hook up with that chick last night? I didn't see you after you fell asleep." He continued, popping a grape from his salad into his mouth.
Gerard shrugged. "I went back to the room early, like, half an hour before you did."
Frank crunches down on his grape. "Sure."
"I'm not joking! She found me, we spoke, I left." Gerard leaves out the self wallowing. "Besides, she's into a chick back home."
Frank rises his eyebrows, but smiles. "You had life chats with a lesbian in Hawaii?" He emphasizes the words that cause him the most surprise. Gerard uses his fork to lift some egg into his mouth, and chews for a second. He decides he doesn't like the taste of eggs benedict, too sophisticated for his average palette.
"No," Gerard corrects, mouth rid of the shitty egg. "I had life chats with a pansexual in Hawaii."
Gerard contemplates telling Frank about his new sexuality discovery. It's not like Frank would be disgusted by the fact, considering he was gay himself. Gerard's major fear was that once the words were let out of his mouth and up into the world, they would haunt him forever. He's not necessarily assumed of anything he's felt (other than the fact that he's been jerking off to his best friend for a month) but he's scared he can never get those words back. He's scared to commit to something, he's scared to admit it, he's scared to make it real.
All of his life, he's liked girls. He liked the way they look, he liked the way they smelled, he liked the way they left butterflies in his stomach. He would love to be protective over one, to love one, to comfort one. But at the same time, all of those feelings Gerard has had towards those girls, he has felt toward Frank. He just wanted to feel normal. Sure, his family was open-minded and nobody would be made or disappointed, but he wanted the regular life. The easy, simple life of finding a woman, settling with that woman and having a family with that woman. He just wishes that he could feel more comfortable in his skin.
"Frank, can I be honest for a second?" Gerard exhales, keeping his eyes closed.
He can hear the smile in Frank's voice. "You can always be honest with me, Gee."
