Chapter 40

Andie POV

I lean on my locker and open up the note the younger judge handed to me.

"I'm josh, extremely nice to meet you, here's my number ....."

Okay.......he gave me his number.

Interesting.......

I wonder if he dances for the place that the scholarship is for.

I decide to type in his number and text him.

Hey, it's Andie.  I text.

He replies straight away.

Andie, Hey! You actually replied! They just called break in here, where are you?

I reply with....

I'm at the lockers 😊.

As soon as I send that message I hear a door open and he walks around the corner and finds me.

"Hello again" He says walking up to me.

"Hello" I smile.

" You were absolutely amazing in here" He says to me.

"Thank you" I blush.

"So do you dance at the CaZ dance academy?" I ask.

"Yeah, it's my second year" He says leaning on the lockers next to me.

"Oh wow, that's cool" I say.

"Yeah, but it will be even better with you there" He says.

"Aww I will try" I smile.

"So you were supposed to do a duet?" He asks me.

My smile fades.

I look down and all I say was "yeah".

As I was about to say another sentence the front door of the school opened.

There stood Sean.

"Oh josh, this is the guy I was supposed to do a duet with" I say with heaps of sass as I step towards Sean with my arms crossed.

"Andie I'm really sor-" He starts saying but I cut him off.

"Stop" I say.

"I got through to the talent show anyway" I say.

"Andie that's amazing!" He says walking up to me for a hug.

I push him away a little.

"I don't really want to hug you right now Sean" I say.

"Come on Josh" I say grabbing Josh's hand and walking away.

"Woah okay who's this guy?!?!" Sean raises his voice.

I turn around.

"He is one of the judges, he was actually there for me unlike you" I say and start walking away again.

I pull Josh to the other side of the school.

I let go of his hand and run my fingers through my hair in distress.

"Hey, are you okay?" Josh asks me with the sweetest smile.

All I do is burst into tears and hug Josh.

I can tell he was surprised when I hugged him but he hugged back.

"It's alright, this will pass" Josh says trying to reassure me.

I realise what I am actually doing and stopped hugging Josh.

"Sorry" I say to Josh looking away, wiping my tears.

"It's okay, I actually liked it" He says.

I turn back to him.

"Excuse me" I say.

"Wait did I say that out loud?" he says covering his mouth.

"Yeah you did" I giggle.

"Oh wow, um sorry" He says scratching the back of his neck.

"It's okay, seriously" I say to him.

"Well you have a boyfriend" Josh says.

"I'm not really 100% about that anymore" I say looking up to him.

"Why's that?" He asks.

"He knew that this was extremely important to me and he wasn't there, all he said was 'sorry' " I say to Josh.

"Come on, let's go sit" Josh says as he grabs my hand gently and walks me to a bench.

We sit down and talk about the whole situation.

"He may have a good reason as to why he was not there" He says.

"I think you should give him a chance to explain" Josh adds.

"Yeah....okay.....thank you" I say hugging him again.

He hugs back and i can feel a hand on my waist.

This causes me to shiver a little.

I pull away slowly and stand up.

"Thanks again" I say to Josh.

"No problem Andie" Josh says with that......gorgeous.....smile of his NO ANDIE STOP YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND.

I walk back up to the lockers and see Sean sitting on the floor leaning on my locker.

"Sean" I say.

"Andie!" He says jumping up and walking over to me.

"I'm giving you a chance to explain what happened and why you weren't there for me" I say crossing my arms.

"Okay so this is was happened....."
