As we walk around town, laughing and catching up, I suddenly feel a lot better than I have within these past few days.

It's nice to just get away and forget for awhile.

"I've missed you guys, really. And don't worry, I'll fill you in on everything that's been going on back in Mystic Falls." Bonnie says and smiles.

"I hope everyone's doing okay." Caroline admits and giggles she reads a text. It's probably from Klaus.

Bonnie's not really a fan of their 'relationship' or, whatever it is. It's understandable, but it's not that fair because Elijah has also done things he regrets.

"Well, I'll tell you all about it later. For now, let's just explore." She smiles gently and we all agree.

After a few hours of showing Bonnie around and catching up a bit, we head back to the apartment, where Bonnie catches us up.

"Damon has coped with everything by throwing himself at girls, compelling them. Stefan, he's thrown himself into working on his car." She explains and sighs.

"I haven't really been up to anything, except getting better on my spells."Bonnie says and sits on my bed. I just noticed, but she cut her hair again. I like her short hair.

"I'm going to admit it, I feel bad for leading Damon on like that, but I just didn't know how to tell him." I sigh, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

Bonnie nods, agreeing. "Yeah I understand, but I do think you should apologize to him." Oh Bonnie, always being the 'mom' out of the three of us.

"I'm surprised he hasn't come down here yet." Caroline jokes, but Bonnie for some reason shifts uncomfortably.

"What's wrong, Bon?" I ask, tilting my head a bit and furrowing my eyebrows.

"Oh, nothing I just... Nothing." She shakes it off and tries to recover with a smile.

After a few seconds of complete silence that's filled with awkwardness, Caroline speaks up.

"Who wants to get drunk?" She smiles and laughs mischievously as she pulls out two bottles of whiskey. "There's more where this came from."

"Where did you get that?" I ask, curiously. "Klaus. I asked him if I could borrow some because I know this is our favorite past time." She giggles and shrugs.

"So, who's with me?" I sigh, but soon shrug, getting a glass and pouring myself some.

Bonnie follows my lead along with Caroline, and we all do cheers.

Soon we find ourselves laughing hysterically with music playing, and were jumping up and down.

I chug down my third glass and I giggle like a freak as I pour my next one. "I've missed this." I admit and smile at them.

Bonnie nods and raises her drink as if to say 'fill my cup' so I do. Caroline turns up the volume and continues to dance like an idiot.

Bonnie and I shrug, joining her. I feel so free. Honestly, with everything that's going on, I feel like I need this. We all do.

We continue to jam out to the music and I chug down my drink. I feel so free right now. I hear a knock on the door and I turn the music down slightly.

I walk over to the door and turn the knob, opening it. It's Klaus. "Hello Elena. Caroline here?" He asks with his signature smirk. I bite my lip and nod without saying a word.

"Caroline." I call and move away from the door, back over to Bonnie. Caroline sets her drink down and gets up, walking over to him.

"Klaus." She says calmly, trying to hide her slur. "Hello love. Can I have a moment or two with you?" He asks and places his hands behind his back.

She nods and slides on her jacket, excusing herself.

She walks out the door, closing it behind her and letting it squeak.

I hear a swoosh and I sigh. "They're gone. Probably because they know I would be able to hear their conversation." I shrug and sip my drink.

"So, that's now a thing?" Bonnie asks, raising an eyebrow. I nod and sigh lightly.

"Yeah. And I know you don't necessarily like Klaus, but Caroline has grown to like him."

She nods and fiddles with her fingers that lie on her lap.

"Then I guess I'm gonna have to learn to deal with it." She swallows hard and looks back up at me.

I smile faintly and lean in, wrapping my arms around her, bringing her into a hug.

"I've missed you Bonnie." I whisper and smile.
