I Remember You

How can it be? - Chapter 5

"Y-youre lying mom.." The words almost didnt make it past her mouth. Lianee spoke in a very low voice. " How can that be? Hongki...Hoingki became my boyfriend when I left here."

" Lianee.. Honey..how can that be? Dont you remember what happened before you left?' Her mom asked. She was clearly confused. It showed on her face. Lianee can help but feel so bummed out about it.

"What happened before I left?" She asked her. " I got buliied by the kids here.." Her lips trembed when she remembered.

"Yes..I know. " She answered.

"You knew? Mom? Why..didnt you tell me..Im Sorry I didnt tell you. I dont want you to worry. " Lianee said and look down on the floor. She was ashamed that shes didnt tell her mom and she has to know from someone else. " Who..who told you?"

Her mom bit her lip then look at Yonghwa.

Her face turn red from anger. How can Yonghwa tell her mom about it?

She almost lashed out at him but her mom said, " He doesnt want to tell me but I forced him. Seeing as you were clinging to him the whole time. You kept on crying . Then when your dad asked to have you move up there with him, you cried the whole day talking with Yonghwa on the phone." She was surprised at the revelatuion.

"W-why would I do that?" She stammered.

"Because he is your boyfriend." Her mom answered. " YOu talk everyday on the phone. Did something happened that I didnt know? Why are you like this? " Her mom approached her concern showing on her face.

" I..I...." Suddenly the world swim in front of her and she felt herself falling.. Whats happening?

She tried to grab into something but she cant.

When she come into, she can hear voices speaking around her in hushed tones. She felt like a a nail was embedded in her skull. She graned, placing her hand on her head.

"Baby...dont move." She heard his voice but seem so far from her.

Tear fall from her closed lids. "It hurts make it stop.." She pleaded.

"Lianee..." YOnghwa was holding her hand and she felt his warm lips on her temples. " Rest baby. Im right here.."

She didnt remember anything else after that. She felt a prick on her shoulder and warm tingling flow in. Everything seem to be muted but she know that she is awake.

She saw fragments of memory, or was it a dream? She saw Yonghwa smiling at her holding her hand as they walk along the shore on Sunset Beach. Yonghwa kissing her for the first time.. The two of them playing on the swing at the park near the school.

Then it dimmed at she heard a voice calling her name.

"Lianee!!!" Its Hongki, his voice full of anguish and he seem to b crying. Yes, its her HOngki. He must have been sad that she has been with Yonghwa.
