Past Heartaches - Chapter 11

YONGHWA POV

Three years.

Ive waited for her. I never really thought that I will lose her but I did.

I followed her to the park that day and I heard everything. I saw when she was trying to tell him to stop. But he didnt. He told her what happened and I was so mad that I took a step near them. I wanted to punch him. Him. Hongki is a friend from my old school and I didnt know he would act like that. I only stopped when Lianee sat dejectedly. She was crying and it broke my heart.

I picked her up and brought her home. She didnt move. She just let me carry her and cried all the way to their house. I told her mom what happened and what I heard. She was worried that there might be complications from the accident.

She called her ex husband and I was going to the kitchen when I heard her. Shes inside the room sobbing again. She looked so broken and it hurt like hell.

I wanted to punch Hongki for what shes going through. I thought shes getting better then this happened.

She tried to end her life!

" You should go home. " I look up to see the concerned face of her mom.

" Im ok. I wanted to be here when she wakes up. " I said as I absentmindedly smooth the blanket.

" I didnt know what shes thinking. " She said looking Lianee's face. " I thought shes getting better. She always look at you when she think no ones looking. " She sighed.

I look at Lianee. Her face a bit pale but she seem to be at peace. Gone where the heavy eyebags and sad face.

" I already set her up with a doctor. She has to talk it out with somebody. " She said a little to herself and I nod. Just then the door opened and we both turn around to see Lianee's dad.

"J-jae..!" Mrs. Kim took a slow step towards him before she hug him.

" Wendy...baby..." He kissed her hair and hug her tight and I turn to face Lianee again. I felt slightly happy. It seems the separation dis both of her parents good. Maybe they'll even come back together. I cup Lianee's face with my hand.

Wake up baby... Im here..
I'm waiting for you.

JAEJOONG POV

I was anxious as I drove to the hospital. Hongki called me and explained everything. Its ood that he told me over the phone, I didnt know if Id be able to not punch him. In a way I understand him. But he caused this. My babygirl is now in the hospital. I felt guilty because I know, if only Im here with them, this wouldnt happen.

I braced myself in seeing Wendy again. Since the incident I ve been calling her every night. I was worried at first, but then again this is about our daughter. Im just glad she didnt shut me out of their life completely.

I opened the door to Lianee's hospital suite. If Wendy freaks out on me Im not gonna insist.

"J-jae..!" She stuttered when she called my name and I dont know if I should go inside. I hesitated at the door. She might panic again. She took a slow step towards me. I keep looking at her face. Her small eyes are hazy and I know shes gonna cry.

I wasnt prepared for her. She embraced me and put her face on my chest. I can feel her body shaking and I hug her tight. God its been so long! I missed her! I missed this! I missed us.
