Hurting -Chapter 8

HONGKI POV

My heart is beating wildly in my chest as I see Lianee sitting on the bench in the park. Sbes so beautiful. Since I saw her three years ago until now, I cant deny that I really love her.

Shes biting her lip and she keeps on clenching her fist and I frowned. Im sure somethings bothering her.

I wonder.....

She look up suddenly and our eyes met. She smiled at me but her eyes are guarded. I frowned again.

She stood up and look straight at me. I have a feeling of anxiousness and somehow I know that she knew. Is she ok? I jogged to her and envelop her in a tight embrace. This might be the last time that I will be able to hold her like this.

" Honey. " I kissed her hair and inhaled. She really smell like strawberry!

I tug her hand as I sat down and made her sit beside me. I place her hair on the back of her ear.

" are you cold?"

" I - I...." She stammered and look at me closely. Then she bit her lip confusion clear on her face.

"What is it?" I ask her.

" M-my mom. She told me...
She told me, I have a boyfriend here." Her voice is so low but I heard her. I cant help the grimace that showed on my face.

She knew! Her mom might have told her. Fear clutch my heart and I can feel my eyes misting.

I took a deep breath before I ask, " Of course what are we anyway?" I know Im stalling but Im not ready to let her go yet.

" yeah. But." She seem to be thinking on how to tell me. I dont want to make it easy for her.

" she doesnt approve of me?" I ask her looking at the trees in front of me.

" no. Its worst. She said," she took a deep breath. "She said I have a different boyfriend."

" she did didnt she? " I cant help but smirk. Then I felt defeated. Because thats what I am. Right now I can feel my heart breaking. I knew it. Im gonna lose her, but I didnt think it would be this early.

She look at me. Her eyes cloudy. If I am to lie to her right now, she would believe me. But I owe her. I owe her bigtime.

" Is it true Hongki?" She ask, her voice breaking when she said my name.

" Honey. " I look at her. By the way I look a her and she knew and tears fell from her eyes.

" why...dont lie Please." She said.

" Honey Im gonna tell you a story. Please believe me when I say that I love you. I love you so much." I look at her and she nod her head.

" I know. Hongki. I love you too. But I want to know...I need to know..." Her hands grasp mine and my heart shattered. After I tell her the truth, she will hate me. She will hate me so much that she wont want to see me any more.
