I Remember You

Meeting - Chapter 7

LIANEE POV

I opened my eyes and instantly I regretted it.

Memories from last night flooded through my mind.

" Yonghwa is your boyfriend..

You were crying before you left..."

These thoughts are swirling in my ind and Im getting paranoid about it.

If what my mom said is true, then how come Hongki told me that we've been together?

I dont have anything that he would need for him to lie to me like this. And I really do remember all the times that we have. I remember being with him as I struggled in the gym. He would always encourage me.

I felt his love for me. He cares so much. He wouldnt want me to be alone, and he always visit me at my dads house.

I need to talk to him. I need to find out the truth.

Did he lie to me?

My heart felt heavy as that realization sink in. If he did lie to me I'd be hurt.

I sat up and hesitantly lowered my feet on the floor. I can see Yonghwa on the couch. He is lying on his side. His face serene in sleep. My heart beat a little faster as my gaze linger on him. His hair is unruly from getting his hands through it. He always does that maybe its one of his gestures when he is uncomfortable. I really dont know. What I do know is that I felt something for him. I tried to deny it but its there. The way he looks at me everytime Im at school. The way he talks to me, makes my heart seem to glow but Im repressing. I dont want to feel it. All because of Hongki.

I tiptoed to the bathroom after getting some clothes from my cabinet and I took a bath. I have to find my boyfriend. Theres a lot that I need to ask him. I brush my hair and slowly opened the bathroom door. I look over at Yonghwa and found him still asleep. I breathed a sigh of relief. I got my backpack and close the door softly so he wouldnt wake up.

I dialled on my phone and Hongki answered after two rings.

" Lianee..."

" Can you meet me?" I ask him right away careful not to talk to loud so I can get away from the house without anybody seeing me.

" Right now? " He asked.

" Yes." I took a deep breath as I went out of the house. " Im going to the bus station please meet me at the park near the school." I added. Hongki agreed and said he is at the hotel downtown. He arrived last night and didnt call me because he wanted to surprise me.

" Its ok. " I told him smiling faintly as I took a seat on the bus. Its really too early so theres a lot of empty seats inside. " I'll wait for you."

" Sure take care ok. I'll be there in an hour." Hongki said before he hangup.

I bit my lip and I sighed again. I was so focused on meeting him that I didnt notice Yonghwa standing on the curve near the street as the bus pulled out from the parking space. His eyes troubled as he look at the back of the bus.
