Auther's note.
Hellleeeeuw People,
How's everybody doing? I'm good. Had a bbq with family today, and an aunt from Canada flew in, which meant talking English for a wile. Pretty funny. We roasted marshmallows and made funny faces with my nieces and nephews. And I dropped marshmallows in the fire, rolled in the grass, and made up new words. Yeah, my family is kind crazy.
Anyway, my parents were gone to a party so I had some alone time to write. It's not long, but at least it's something ;)
Hope you enjoy.
Happy Readings!
x me.
Chapter 10 - Wandering Minds
‘HONEEEEEY, I’M HOOOOMEE’ Xander yelled as we entered Noëll’s house. I chuckled loudly as I followed him through the hallway into the living room.
‘Oh, perfect timing darling. Dinner is ready’ Noëll answered back, peaking her head around the corner of the kitchen. Xander’s smirk copied the one plastered on Noëll’s face and smiling I plopped down on the couch.
‘I bet she’s gonna call us weirdo’s once she sees the bag’ Xander mumbled as he walked pass me, before plopping down on the big chair. I chuckled and watched as Noëll walked into the livingroom.
‘So, brought everything?’ Noëll asked as she let her small body fall onto the big sofa next to me. I nodded and pointed to the bag in Xander’s hand. ‘Think I went a little overboard but yeah’. Noëll chuckled as she took the bag from Xander. ‘I didn’t expect anything else’ she said as she opened it.
Inside was all the rubbish we bought, and Noëll rolled her eyes. ‘Weirdos’ she mumbled.
Xanders cheer echoed through the house as he heard the words leave Noëll’s mouth.
‘Told ya’ he said, throwing his hands in the air, before pointing at me. I only laughed at him while No roller her eyes and got up.
She dropped the bag on the table and walked towards the kitchen, when the bell rang on the background. ‘It’s opeeeeeeen’ Noëll screamed and I chuckled softly to myself. The door flew open and Shauna and Kelly appeared. ‘I have arrived’ Shauna cheered and walked with her arms spread through the hallway. Kelly walked behind her, a major grin on her face. ‘I don’t know what she has, she was like this before I picked her up. It’s not my fault’. Kelly spoke up.
Everybody laughed as Shauna let her body fall down on the other side of the couch, while Kelly sat down on the other chair. She placed her bag on the table and then leaned back.
‘Drinks?’ Noëll called out from the kitchen. Everybody cheered and a few seconds later she appeared with a trade full of glasses. She placed it on the coffee table before standing up straight.
‘Ladies & gaymen. May I have your attention please’ Noëll called out. I grinned and watched as Noëll stood in front of the major TV. ‘We are gathered here today, to witnesses the joyful marriage of Julianna Thomas Renee Anderson and food’.
Laughter erupted from everyone as No stood there like a priest, face still calm and serious. I rolled my eyes, but stuffed a handful of Dorito’s in my mouth. Noëll glared at me before bursting out in laughter.
‘Naah, just kidding. Although it wouldn’t surprise me if it would happen’ she said grinning.
‘Amen sister’ I cheered, holding up my fist.
Shauna slapped against my arm and I gave her a death glare. She just chuckled and rolled her eyes. Noëll clapper her hands for attention and then held up the dvd. ‘Key. So the dvd for tonight is The A-team. I thought we’d do a little action movie today’ Noëll said and popped the dvd into the player. She grabbed the remote and then plopped onto the couch between me and Shauna.
The bags didn’t stay closed for long. Xander started digging in soon after the movie started, and I couldn’t keep my hands out of them to. Like Noëll said, I loved food.
The movie was hilarious and scary at the same time. We paused it a few times because one of us had to pi, ore because we ran out of food.
I ended up laying upside down on the couch, for some odd reason. I got a few weird looks from the others as the movie continued, but they knew me long enough to know not to question it.
Though my concentration was nowhere near the screen or the movie. My mind kept wandering back to the blue eyed boy I ran into this morning, and how he reacted to our little collision. I couldn’t get over the fact that he looked nervous. I mean, he’s in a world known boy band, he meets girls every single day. How could he be nervous when he met me? I’m not a dolled up Barbie girl that every boy chases. I’m just me. Nothing special.
‘Jules. Where are you with your mind?’.
Shauna’s voice pulled me out of my daydream and I shrugged. She looked down at me before also shrugging and grabbing a handful of chips.
‘Key. What’s next?’ Kelly asked.
‘I have never’ Xander cheered and I sighted.
This was gonna be a long night.
Niall’s P.O.V.
‘Get out of my way’
‘Mooooove’
‘Yeah Yeah Yeaah Wooohooo’
‘Aah, buggar’
The noises echoed through the house as Liam, Harry and Louis played on the PS3. Zayn was talking on the phone to Perrie and I was digging in the fridge for something good to eat.
‘Yeaaaaah’ Louis voice cheered through the apartment as I peeked around the corner. Liam and Harry’s faces were in a slight pout as Lou did a victory dance around the livingroom.
‘I wooooon, I woon. You loooost you looost’ Louis sang as he did a weird version of our rowing dance. I rolled my eyes and stepped forward.
‘Leave some for us’ Liam called out, and with my hands filled I entered the room.
‘Get your own’ I mumbled and sacked down on the big lounge chair next to the couch.
I hadn’t really been in the mood to race ore play games. My mind was wandered off to Julianna, and to the meeting we would have on Monday. I just hoped she wasn’t bothered by the fact that I would be working with her.
There were a lot of people that just acted nice and friendly because they wanted the same thing. Fame. They didn’t want to be friends with us, they wanted to be in the spotlight. That made making friends in general really hard. You never knew when you could trust someone or not.
At the end of the day, the only we knew we could trust, were our family and each other.
Julianna didn’t seem like the type to make friends for fame, or wanting to be in the spotlight, but I learned over the past couple of years how badly you could be mistaken in somebody. When you’re in a position like me or the lads, you can’t just trust people like that. It takes more than just meeting them for us to even remotely trust them.
A hand waved in front of my face, pulling me out of my daydream. Liam was standing in front of me with a concerned face.
‘You okay mate?’ he asked. I blinked a few times and then nodded, shoving a handful of popcorn into my mouth.
‘Yeah, fine. Just thinking’.
Liam didn’t look convinced, but didn’t ask more questions either. I sighted relieved, as he walked back towards the couch.
All I hoped was that they wouldn’t ask more questions about my distractions.
