Chapter 9 – Being Interrogated.

Niall’s P.O.V.

Paul parked the car in the side parking lot, and for once we managed to sneak into the studio without being bombarded by screaming fans.

Instead the screaming of the lads echoed through the hallway as walked through it, and I braced myself for the worst. If they indeed saw my tweet, I was practically screwed.

Paul threw a comforting glance in my direction, before opening the door to our studio.

‘Booooooobeaaaaarr, get back here. My carrot’ Louis screamed at the top of his lungs.

He was standing on the couch, one leg on a pillow and the other on top of Zayn who was trying to make him fall over. Harry was standing on a spinning chair, holding a bunch of carrots in his hands while sticking out his tong at Louis. Liam was in the recording booth, trying to give them death glares, but failing miserable, since nobody paid attention to him.

I held back a chuckle, as Paul next to me sighted deeply.

‘Boys, down, NOW’ he yelled, and within seconds Zayn, Harry and Louis were sitting on the couch and chair. Liam rolled his eyes, as I plopped down next to Zayn on the couch.

‘Okay. Now, how is it going in here’ Paul asked, crossing his arms.

Jeff, our musical director, rolled his eyes to, and then pointed towards us before speaking.

‘Louis is done, Zayn and Harry just have to lay down their backing vocals, Liam is almost done to and Niall has to get started, but I’m not sure we can fit him in today’.

Paul nodded, taking another look at a paper in front of him.

‘Okay, so what’s the planning?’.

‘We finish Liam today, and Zayn, Harry and Niall Monday. While one records the rest can write and then we’ll continue on with the next song’.

Paul nodded, looking over the papers again and then at us. ‘Good. Liam, let’s go. The rest of you, out. Go eat or something’.

Paul hadn’t even finished speaking, but I jump up and ran into the cafeteria a few doors down. By the time I had a plate filled with food, the others entered.

‘Wow, you’re hungry’ Louis commented as he settled down next to me. I shrugged, and continued stuffing my mouth with the food in front of me. The other lads chuckled as they sat down at our table.

‘So, what was that whole tweet thing about?’ Harry asked, wiggling his eyebrows. I sighted deep, trying to hide the slight blush that started to appear on my cheeks.

‘Nothing’ I mumbled softly as I worked my way through my plate of food.

Harry and Louis chuckled amused, and pulled my plate from under my nose.

‘Hey, that’s my food’ I exclaimed, trying to pull back the plate. Unsuccessfully unfortunately, as Louis placed it on the table behind him.

‘Tell us’ he demanded.

The lads all had the same demanding look in their eyes, and I knew that there was no way out of this. A deep sight slipped my mouth as I leaned back and crossed my arms.

‘There is not much to tell. I was on my way to the beard man’s office when I ran into a girl. Her hands were filled with books so she dropped them because of me. I helped her pick them up and then went to that weird meeting’.

My mind wandered back to the moment I looked up, and my eyes met hers. They were brownish, but their definitely was a golden edge to it. A slight sparkle lingered in them as she stared back at me, her brown hair pulled out of her face. It was wrapped up in a messy bun on the right side of her head, her bangs braided towards it. A slight strand of hair covered her left ear, framing her face perfectly.

Louis and Harry shared a look, before squinting their eyes at me again. ‘Aaaaand…?’ Louis asked.

‘What and?’ I questioned, but deep down I knew what it was about.

‘You tweeted she was pretty. Tell us’.

I sighted again, but figured I might as well tell them the whole story. I would sooner or later.

‘She was pretty okay. That’s it. She has brown hair and brown-golden eyes.. Oh wait’ I answered quickly, pulling my phone out of my pocket and searching through my mentions on Twitter. They had blown up like crazy, so I quickly typed in her name and then opened her profile picture.

‘Here’ I said, holding up the phone to the lads. Their eyes widened and they nodded in approval.

‘Nice one mate.. she’s pretty indeed’ Harry said, and Louis nodded.

I chuckled softly, before staring at the picture for a view seconds and locking my phone.

‘And the funny part is, she is the one I have to do an assignment with in that music class’.

The lads eyes widened once again, making me laugh. They were very good at that.

‘Mate, I think luck is on your side this time’ Zayn said, patting me on the back. I grinned widely, before extending my arms to Louis’ direction.

‘Thanks. Can I have my food now?’.

Louis chuckled before picking up the plate and placing it in my hands. Smiling like a mad man, I pulled it back, and started eating again. But the image of Julianna’s face as she looked at me this afternoon kept popping up in my mind.
