Chapter 13 – A Dream To Wish For, Or A Nightmare To Die About

Julianna’s P.O.V.

‘JULIANNA ANDERSON. WEEKEND’S OVER. GET UP RIGHT NOW’.

Oh god. Monday morning. Have I ever told you I hate Mondays. Well I do. I hate Mondays like Tom hates Jerry. Like fire hates water, Like the snow hates the sun, like.. well, you get the point.

I groaned loudly before pushing the blankets of my face and staring up at the ceiling.

Suddenly a bubbly feeling rushed through my body, and an unwilling smile made its way onto my face. It didn’t take long before I realized where the bubbly feeling came from.

At two this afternoon, I would meet my assigned partner for the music assignment, and to be honest, I was really excited. I just wished that my hopes wouldn’t come crashing down when I met him or her.

‘JUUUUUUUUUULES’. Thomas’s voice rang through the room and I sighted deep, before looking at my little brother in the door opening. ‘Mom needs you down. We leave in 5’.

I rolled my eyes, as he disappeared from the door opening and slowly got up from my bed.

For once I spend more than 10 minutes getting ready. But I already figured out what I was gonna wear the day before.

Quickly I grabbed my black skinny jeans out of my closet, and grabbed a white tank top with spaghetti straps of the shelf. My black hoodie with zipper was still on my chair and after pulling it on I grabbed my green Snapback and green watch. (Pic on the side)

I was never the one who was majorly in to fashion, I left that to Noëll, but I knew how to combine and make things my own.

My make-up was still laid out so I applied some mascara and that was basically it. I hated it when girls walked around, a face the color of an orange. It just looked weird.

My phone buzzed on my nightstand as I made my way back into my room.

1 new message. Noëll

It read and smiling I opened it.

Elleeuw douchbag. Need a ride? Need your opinion on something after school. Latur

I rolled my eyes and shook my head as I typed something back. She really needed to learn how to text probably.

Heey. Yeah, sounds good. What time you’re done?

‘JULIANNA. Get down NOW’ my mom yelled and I sighted.

‘Ever heard of inside voice. Ore normal family, or waking me up at least 10 minutes before we have to leave? No? Wouldn’t have guessed’ I mumbled as I walked down the stairs. Of course they never heard of normal family.

My black low All-Stars were laying at the bottom of the closet and I quickly slipped them on before walking into the kitchen.

It seriously went like this every morning. No matter how many times I asked them not to wake me up like that, or at least 10 minutes earlier, they ever did. And if I set my own alarm it just didn’t work. I always slept right through the damn thing. Or I asked my mom, and my brother would volunteer, but waiting until the very last moment to indeed wake me up. I hated him.

Is there perhaps such a thing as a black market for little brothers? ‘Cause if there was, I would put him on it right away. I could use the cash.

‘Breakfast is on the counter, lunch in the fridge’ my mom said as I appeared. I nodded, and digged into my breakfast.

Less than 5 minutes later a horn echoed around the house and I looked through the glass window beside the front door. I quickly pulled open the door and waved at her, before speeding up the stairs and grabbing my bag and phone and running back down the stairs again.
