It's been two weeks since I saw or talked to Lauren. My heart ached when I thought of her. I missed her, and I was a coward for not going after her after I read the letter she wrote me.
-Flashback-
I came back to the hotel and I found a letter on the side of the bed. I carefully opened it and read it. My eyes became teary and my heart longed for Lauren. I just don't understand how a person like Lauren can be so understanding with the situation we are going through. In her letter, she wrote she still loved me.
What did I ever do to deserve this type of affection?
Lauren was correct with very single word she poured into the letter. She was correct, God does have a plan for the both of us. Who knows what the future holds.
I sat down on the bed and tears fell down my face. What do I do? Do I go after her?
Do I even have the right too?All these questions ran through my head, and what confused me the most was that she never said we were breaking up nor did she say it was a goodbye letter. How can it not be a goodbye letter if she left? If she didn't break up with me, are we still dating?
Thoughts kept running through my head and I screamed and fisted my head. I crumpled the letter and put it back into the envelope until something fell out. I luckily caught it before it fell.
It was the ring I gave Lauren. The promise ring I gave her. My heart thumped out of my chest as I fisted the ring to my chest, pouring my heart out.
-End of flashback-
I broke off the flashback as I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." I replied shortly. I was currently in a dressing room getting ready for the Expelled premiere tonight. I was wearing a grey suit, and if Lauren were here she would make a stupid joke about 50 shades of Grey. Just the thought of her made my heart hurt. Everything made me think of her. Even the most simplest things like a white T-shirt.I was a coward for not going after her, but was I supposed to do? I was getting wedded in less than a month. I sighed and placed phone on the table. I repeatedly tried to text a message to Lauren but I kept erasing it afterwards.
"Cameron? Sir we need you dressed right now. The premiere is in one hour." The dresser asked. She held the suit by a hanger and flashed a smile.
I smiled and nodded, quickly she dressed me and styled my hair. Shortly afterwards the director came in to talk to me.
"Do you remember what you're saying to the interviews? You're announcing the marriage right?" The director asked.
"Yeah we went over this already." I replied dryly.
"Cameron you can't screw this up. Millions will be watching this interview. The premiere is also being live on TV so you must not say anything wrong." The director snapped.
I nodded my head and grabbed my phone, debating whether I should text Lauren.
"Cameron! I'm serious! You must act like a loving couple!" He yelled.
"I understand! I'm honestly tired of being nagged 24/7 about this situation." I rolled my eyes and stood up. As I stepped outside and walked off to be escorted off, Lia caught a sight of me and ran up to me. She actually looked really pretty, but she didn't have any of Lauren's beautiful features.
