Chapter 41: Matt's Dinner

-Lauren's P.O.V.-

I got up feeling tired. I don't know why I am feeling this way. I tell myself that I can get over Cameron but I really know he affects me in some way..
Tonight was the dinner. I had my dress ready. Everything was set for me yet I wasn't prepared to face Cameron, tonight.

"Are you ready?" Megan asked. We were all dressed up in our dresses. My hair was straightened and I applied some natural looking makeup. Megan's hair was curly and she wore natural makeup also.

"Yup." I said emphasizing the 'p'.

We walked out of the hotel and got into a taxi. I was super nervous. The boys were already there at the restaurant.
To be honest, I was freaking out.

I started to panic, for no specific reason.

"Lauren what's wrong?" Megan asked.

"I really don't know. I am just upset from last night." I said. The flashback started to sink into my mind.
I remember what Cameron said. I will probably always remember it.

She is just a nobody to me. Don't forget that.

I started to cry. Megan looked confused but she choose not to talk about it. She understood the pain I was in. She figured it wouldn't be the correct time to ask what happened.
Megan patted my back gently and hummed a tune.

I stepped out of the taxi and walked into the restaurant. I shivered from the wind gushing to get in.
Inside was a beautiful chandelier and marble flooring. There was beautiful velvet that draped the walls. I was in love.

I walked towards the waiter.
"Um hello. I am here for Matt's Party."

"Oh hello. Follow my lead." She replied grinning. I looked at Megan and she shrugged.
We walked into an elevator to take us to the top floor, where the dinner was held.

I fumbled on my dress, wishing I wore something warmer. Yet again, this is a fancy dinner..

Bing!
"Here ya go. This is Matt's Party." The waitress responded. There were tons of people dancing and drinking. She gestured for us to walk.

We walked into a huge room with glass windows and chandeliers. There was lounge sofas and TVs. Most of it, being taken by the people.

Matt saw us. He gave us a wave. He wore a tux and he fixed his hair. I greeted all of the boys but Cameron was no where in sight.

"Okay guys. Now that everyone is here, let's take a seat." Matt said into the microphone. He gestured his hand towards a huge dining table with never ending chairs. The table, piled up with food, looked so delicious.

I decided to sit down by Megan. She sat across of Nash. I was unaware of who was sitting on the other side of me. I glance and see Crystal. When is she gonna disappear? If she is here, Cameron must be sitting close by. I looked across of Crystal to find Cameron.

I quickly turn and started to put food on my plate. My heart rate pumped faster by the second.

She is just a nobody to me. Don't forget that.

The thought raced through my head. I look at Cameron once more. For a couple seconds we shared eye contact. It was pretty awkward.
I looked away, moving the hair from my face.

Cameron, just let me eat.

After the piles and piles of food we all went through, I was stuffed. Everyone got up to go dance, drink, and other crazy stuff.

I walked towards the dance floor and tried to find Megan. She disappeared. There was no way I wanted to be alone right now. I wasn't in the best mood.

I pressed the button to the elevator. As it opened, I hopped in. I clicked the bottom floor. I didn't  know where I was going but I just wanted to get air.

The elevator door closed shut. Unaware of who was with me, I stayed quietly still.
All of a sudden my my wrist was pulled.

"Ouch." I replied before I looked at the person.

Cameron.

"I need to talk to you."
